Looking good. Are the coils supposed to hang that low under the tank, or did you modify it? Most of the Triumphs I've seen have the coils tucked up under the tank or under the seat.
Yes, its modified. The original tank had cutouts for the coils. But this tank is older and doesn't have the space. So I just made a bracket and dropped them down a bit.
@@suzukisav I had a similar problem with mine, I too have an earlier tank without the coil cut outs so I just used a twin lead single coil from an old Honda Bros twin and stuck it under the seat beside the Boyer, far tidier and a great deal more reliable than the twin Lucas coil set up. The bike is looking great, that extended float bowl is blingtastic.
The tension is unbearable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A bit like your kick-start spring!!!
😂 Patience!
I would think the extended float bowl will help a little with cooling the carb...because it has fins and it's allowing more gas into the bowl.
That's the idea. But not really sure they were ever very effective. Look lovely though!

@@deniscurtin9510 I might upgrade to a digital coil at some point. My bank balance needs time to recover first. 😁
