great video! was just wondering, i am turning 18 in a few months and have dreamed of working a ski season for a few years now idealy in france. i have researched thoroughly and not many content creators list working at a bar as an option for working a ski season with large companies. is this not an option in most cases, i have bar experience and that is the ideal/ dream job to work on a ski season. many thanks

Hey man! I'm looking to do a ski season over in Canada for 2021/2022 after I finish university in October. I travelled to Canada when I was 18 and absolutely loved it so I'm keen to go back! It's my first ever working season and still researching on the best ways to go about it. Seen your videos and theyve been helpful so cheers for that.
Is there any extra advice or tips you can give me on doing my first season. Best jobs to look for with little previous experience, the mountains with the best working environment etc. (I went to Sun Peaks last time I was there)
    Thanks, Hamish

Hey Hamish, thanks for commenting on the video. Great to hear that you're looking to do a season in Canada and I'm glad you've found my videos on it so far useful. 2 bits of advice, first of all figure out what you want to do over there and then start applying asap. Typically recruitment goes from June-October time for many companies. But the reason why I say asap is because of the working holiday visa, I submitted my biometrics at the start of last week and it could take over 8 weeks for my application to be processed. My contract is meant for me to start work early october so I would be looking to fly out late September, but its completely dependent on the visa - without that you cant book flights, arrange health insurance or accomodation for my time in canada. Basically the sooner you get yourself a job offer and start the visa process, the better chance you have. Hope that makes sense, let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the reply, that made perfect sense!
I'm up to the stage of applying for a job at the moment. I have noticed though that most applications require you to let them know if you have a visa. How did you go about this?

@@hamishm6909 Frankly because of covid its a catch 22 at the moment, with Canada's current covid travel restrictions they are only allowing people to enter on an IEC visa if they have a valid job offer.....so when you are applying for the visa you have to show proof of a valid job offer. So whilst the employer might want to know if you've got the visa, you can't even apply for the visa currently without a job offer. Bizarre I know!
