I got mine last week direct from Spain, they are the best paint markers I have used. The paint flows free and easy with no streaking. This is 3Gen AK paints and they dry level. A great review Andy and a product I am already enjoying.
The problem I have with these kind of markers is DRYING OUT long before I can use them! So, very short useful life. I wonder it they have figured out a way around this issue!
I'll definitely order a set... I'm really impressed with your review. My only concern would be the storage / shelf life - should I go to use them a year from now.
I think these might come in really handy for doing very fine camo patterns. Maybe you could use them to do the outlines of your pattern and fill in the middle with an airbrush, should the color be consistant with the regular colors from the bottle.
Hey Andy, that was good. I must ask, do you intend to populate your Canadian site with what you provide at home? I would also strongly suggest that you put some Maple Leafs on your Canadian website so it is easily discernable from your US website. Call us crazy but, as a veteran, I like to see the Maple Leaf
I don't know if paint marker specially made for hobby purpose existed before Gundam Marker but I know Gundam Marker (by GSI Creos/Mr Hobby) has been around for a very long time. I think I bought mine in mid 2000s. More brands are making paint marker now but for gunpla builders they're nothing new.
My concerns are that you can't see how much paint is in those pens and if they have a good shelf life and it's very expensive. $104 for a box of 34 pens. Other than that, love these a lot.
Might be able to do a whole small aircraft in 1:144? I'd like to see a fine point set (like a 0.25mm ink fine liner) - I've just tried these markers and it's quite difficult to get the very smallest of scratches and chipping with that tip. Overall, they are really excellent though.
Hello Andy. Looking forward to see you again at the Nationals. Quick question. It has nothing to do with the video but are you planning and I know it’s a bit early to produce an M-113A2 or make after market parts to convert it?
Hi Andy , Question ! Have you heard anything about anyone retoolingbtheir 1/72 scale A-10 ?? I am really itching to build one that actually has some riveting ON IT 😁😁
I've bought the box from AK directly and my first inmpressions are great. If this stays this way in easy use i am a happy man, but am i becoming a lazy builder ;-)
my friend thought these were good for warhammer, he doesnt have much space to do modeling and theses dont require setup and cleanup, so it'd be nice to get some more fantasy colours i think
Hi Andy. Can you tell me why I can't reach tamiya usa ? the site wont answer, and I can't find any information as to why. Please answer if you know anything about this. Thanks.
A buddy of mine bought a set of these from Andy and knocked out a pair of 1/48 Fw190 wheels (wheel hub and tires) in less than 30 minutes without touching his airbrush. Simple, quick, effective, and zero brush marks. Paradigm changing.
they are looking great but..... if you don't use them for a period of time, won't the get un-usable (drying out don't no how to describe this in English )
Is this why they redid the entire Real Color range? I am SO bummed about that. I loved the jars and colors. How am I suppose to pour excess airbrush paint back into an eyedropper bottle? Annoying!
Save and clean your old bottles to hold your leftover paints; they'll be ready to go for next time and won't have to be re-thinned. Also, adding thinned paint back to non-thinned paint can have unwanted effects on your paints.
Just dump the drop of paint directly into your airbrush when you need it. You don't have to put paint back if you use all of it. In time you will figure out how many drops you need to cover the entire element. If you need to thin your paints, just buy an empty eyedropper bottle, fill it with a thiner, and mix the paint directly in your airbrush cup. Once you figure it out you will end up losing less paint than with jars.
German dot camo schemes just got way easier!
And Luftwaffe night fighters.
I bought the complete set of 34 colors direct from AK and they are awesome. Very pleasantly surprised. Thank you AK Interactive.
can't wait to get some myself I've got them on order but I've been using Posca Paint Marker for years and they are nice touch too

Wow love paint markers. 👍👍
Little advice, use a surfacer under will greatly improve the outcome when using these markers.
Nice review - I just bought the set of 34 from Jadlam in the UK, can't wait for them to arrive
Cheers Andy. I've ordered two sets, Tools and Weapons, and feel confident having watched your video. A set of three cost £6.95.
I'll definitely order a set... I'm really impressed with your review. My only concern would be the storage / shelf life - should I go to use them a year from now.
I ordered the full set as soon as I saw them. Having watched your video I am very happy. I wonder how they will be for canopies.

Looking forward to seeing you at the Nats, Andy.

Hi Andy, these look great. Do the colors match the same color in their paints, thanks
I got mine yesterday so testing them over weekend i was 65 for the full 34 set
I could make darn good use of these! Great new product from what I can see!
Cool review Thanks! Looks like a great set or could be if the cost is not out of this world...
New sub too! 👍 😁
LLAP 🖖
These markers are great I just reviewed them on my channel, very handy set of paint markers!

Awesome that there is now a Canadian store, may I ask where it is?
Are you going to have the 34 marker set in the Glendale store? I was looking at it on the AK website. It looks like a thorough line.
Just wondering if you think they will be good for 1/35 scale? Looks like they get into the small details on 1/16 scale nicely!

That gunmetal looks silver. Not at all like the gunmetal I'm use to.
Hey those would be handy !!!
I wonder how they apply on primed surfaces?
Lookin Good Andy !!

this is a game changer! cant wait for this to be in the market

May these be applied without the need of a PRIMER?
I can already feel my wallet getting lighter.
I'm gonna get me some to put with the Posca ones I forget I own 😢.
The cost so i want brake the bank. Lol😂
Great video Andy cheers Liam
I think this is a game changer. No mess, saves time. What was the rrp i must of missed that.
wonder how much they cost
It's less than 2€ in Europe (1,95), so it should be about 2.20$ in the US.
Michigan Toy Soldier has them for $3,99. Sets for $11,99.

Ak has a 34 set for about 60.00
I have the same question
Hi Andy. Can you tell me why I can't reach tamiya usa ? the site wont answer, and I can't find any information as to why. Please answer if you know anything about this. Thanks.
Will they be any good for 1/35 though, those tips look HUGE.
Game Changer! Definitely on my next AHHQ Order!
Seem Groundbreaking
Be great for 1/35 figure painting! Hope to see some flesh colors
Way too big for a 1/35 figure.
Canada store! So excited, thanks for setting it up Andy!
I hope to see them here at the hobby shop I go to here in Australia
Could this be the future of modelling? If all the colours of AK, Ammo, Lifecolor and Valejo were available; why use brushes?

I wonder if they will do railroad colors.

Very useful
I want some
I currently use posca pens for cockpit details, these look perfect for other touch ups.
I'm getting me some!
Another great demo
Crayola memes *intensify*.
Look great, what is the cost
Looking forward to getting a set 😊
I can see these as a game changer when painting the worn parts of steel road wheels and track wear.
Want!!
Life saver when you need to freehand markings on a vehicle!
Wood looks very yellow in coulour
Ok I'm in . . . I see them as making stowage painting much easier.
Could be good for 15, 20 & 28mm gaming models. easy camouflage
Posco pens...
