    Wonderful video.
I have two in a twenty gallon and like you I'll be upgrading to a forty next month. The only reason I have them in a twenty is because that's what they came in unfortunately. You're right it's just no enough space.
I use, and had good success with a reusable bio mat I rinse and reuse weekly.
Great setup, it's nice to see what others are doing. Cheers

Thank you so much. They are so much fun aren’t they? Even if they are crazy and spastic.

That’s so exciting. I’m sure it was a surprise to see them. I imagine mine will at some point. They definitely have been doing it a lot. I’ve set up some homes for babies already so I’ll be ready when that happens.

@Wonderful World it was definitely a surprise. We got our male garter last year, and we didn't get any babies until now. I thought at first that maybe we had two females because the snake wasn't sexed when we bought him. But then he started rubbing on her and doing his thing.

Thank you very much. Well, I don’t have any experience keeping Dakay’s snakes. I do know that they are very small and I believe they have some specific care requirements that are a little different then other snakes. I think Snake Discovery channel has a video on Dakay’s snake and also talks about care for babies. I’m not 100 percent sure, but I might recall that they like to burrow and might eat earthworms, so they might need to have that type of substrate. But being so small, they need to be very small worms. You might look for that because I don’t think there’s a whole lot out there on them. As far as eating goes, make sure there temperature is right and make sure they have enough places to hide. The less stress they feel, the better they will acclimate to a new situation. I wish you luck. 😀
