Explains it so well and then demonstrates by making the guitar speak to you too, priceless lesson.

@@takavaka758 I'm just curious as I've been playing for about 12 years now and around the 6th year kind of lost my love for the instrument (due to studying it at college I think). I've only in the last 6 months really hit it hard and that's from spending a lot of time with TE learning things like Freight Train and Windy and Warm so was interested to see how this one turned out for Fred! :) Thanks for the reply! :)

We need more guitar players like Tommy. There's not heart in a lot of music nowadays but Tommy has that. Play on brother, God bless

That's an interesting chord you ended with (very last one). What a beautiful arrangement with bringing the bass in time. Wish I could play 1% of what Tommy's knows.

I believe you need to check out more of his material / performances...... I can't think of a style/genera I haven't heard him touch upon / or at least occasionally incorporate.......& he's way above average at all of them.....& master at most......I've never really seen him get out-played when jam'n with other world class players.....except maybe out-flamenco'd once or twice.......not that hes exactly Segovia at classical or Paco @ Flamenco or Di Meola or Taylor at jazz......but he incorporates the most interesting / coolest techniques from all of them in his arrangements & compositions.....& where he really shines is at that Nashville / Chet Atkins Boom Chick type thumb pick/finger style......though a bit ironically my favorite pieces by him tend to be a hybrid picking style......If you were to take the 10 worlds best players....self-proclaimed or otherwise.......I bet that they would unanimously agree the TE is the better entertainer at solo acoustic instrumentals.....truly" world class"!

Tommy. I saw you play at The Birchmere early this March. At sat up front. You're performance thrilled me musically and touched me with an emotional impact that is rare. As a guitarist, you have inspired me proufoundly. Thank you!! I was thinking recently that you should do a film score at some point. I bet you'd be brilliant at that too. Thank you for your insturctionals. They are great and very helpful. Cheers! :)

You can almost taste the sadness in this song. What pain Martin Taylor must have been feeling to write like this; for music like this can only come from deep inside.

So the F# augmented chord... he’s not using pinky finger, correct? So couldn’t you use an alternate grip: pinky on low e string, second and third fingers on b and g strings and first finger on d string. There’s no way my fingertip can hold down two strings at once
