I'm going with this is the real deal, that it's really live. You can watch this clip over and over and see that everyone is nailing it as it's going down with no mistakes, nervousness or aprehension that you see on the obviously lypsynched variety show stuff. This is the Montreux Jazz Festival after all, not some canned tv show. Agnetha is one of those true talents who could nail it, and she had all the tools she needed by this point to make it happen.
So it's Dubbed, pre-recorded whatever, it's a great pop tune by a Beautiful Talented Singer of her Time. Please People take it for what it is. A Promotional Presentation of the Song. Dear me, why can't people either just enjoy or not enjoy the Artist/Song.
Agnetha is gorgeous here but she is gorgeous anywhere. There is no Jeff Lynn. I recognise members of her band. I wish life had been a little different for her.
I'm with regiio on this one. Most of these Montreux performances are like any other TV apprearance, mimed. I have just uploaded Tears for Fears from this Montreux festival playing Head Over Heels and Roland IS singing live tho'.
say3words, do you remember when & where this concert was held? Thank you. She's great isn't it? And still sings great! Of course, still a lovely woman. Thanks for the music, Agnetha! Thanks for this great video say3words.
this is one, if not the best song for the person you love who cant see how much you love and care. Its not a very good idea to show all your love at once ,because it can cut the mistery of "love". You need to always keep something to be discover in way to avoid monotony in a relation. You need to inspirate some curiosity always, injecting something fresh in order to prevent boring your love one.
Agnetha was cool.....still is.....however, Frida always had the edge when it came to performance. They were just two great voices together and I don't think people could accept them otherwise unfortunately.
at real concerts she always sang live. ABBA and Agnetha did sing live a few times on TV and appearences like that...but that's when they usually sang lip-synched.
Are you kidding me with this? She lip-synchs all the way through and her backing track is her complete original track (not faded at the end as on her record). The reason you can tell is that her own vocals, overdubbed by herself in some parts of the song, can't of course be done live unless she sings to her own backing track. And I'm sorry to say that Agnetha's vocals (or any other artist's) can't sound that polished when sung live. Also you can see that the band mime the song behind her.
One of Jeff Lynnes first productions out of ELO. Great Song, but unfortunatelly it didn't help Agnetha from ABBA to build up a new carrer after her time with ABB.
I kind of have to agree with you. I so wanted her to be a brilliant success without them and she was on her own terms, I think. However, you are right the combination of her voice and Frida's was sublime and Benny and Bjorn's talent was once in a lifetime. Now, more than 20 years down the line her songs without ABBA (My Colouring Book aside) are un-memorable mostly - bland and generic, as you say. I have not heard the new songs yet.
Beautiful song, beautiful artist. I love you Mrs Faltskog
I just love her voice. And think this song is 22 years old.
Love The woman, the song, the Aura! Hope she lives forever! X
Paul...She will, Hon. Angels never die.

Wow, she looks amazing. A natural woman.
Magnetic! Charismatic! Dynamic! Agnetha! The harmony nails it to the wall!
Great song. Love Agnetha. Would I kiss her? I have kissed her, in my dreams. I love watching her sing. Great video, here. Thanks for posting it.
This song is just dripping of ELO. Love it!

I remember the melody quit well. From "Rakt Över Disc"
P3 Swedish radio with the well known DJ Clabbe. Tahta was in 1985/86. Lasse Stang.
If only we had more ELO and Abba together. One could only wonder what might have been!!!

JEFF LYNNE THE BEST WRITER AND PRODUCER EVER!!!

Typical Jeff Lynne song from Electric Light Orchestra. I love it!
hi:
Althought is a Jeff Lynnes's production, no one singer in the world would get better perfomance than Agneha from Abba
How come she never sings live, but she always tries to make it loook like it's live!
Great Jeff Lynne tune...
GREAT sound ! Love the sax .Anyone know who sax player is?
great Jeff Lynne Production...

This is written by Jeff Lynne, but I don't think it's produced by him is it?
