What are you on this is a testing car of some sort. Look at actual images of the car, you could only see the helmet in a GP. In 1977 the camera probably weighed like 20 kg thats why theyve removed some body work so that the car can even climb the hill
Amazing video - running without upper body cowling and windscreen! Driver fully exposed showing corrections and dynamic with the double suspension sets and 4-10" wheels (more grippy contact - less understeer) as revealed by a big @ss camera mounted on a pod high-up behind the roll bar. Almost certainly for P34 engineers. Driver: Patrick Depailler
Patrick Depailler was a fantastic driver: precise, no error commited, very good developper of the chassis.
A master with the manual gearbox.
This will always be my favorite f1 car ever made
Good grief, the driver's arms are actually above the sidepods, unenclosed. From this angle it looks like he's sitting in a shifter kart.

I believe it’s because back then, drivers weren’t working out regularly and staying in shape so they wouldn’t fit inside the modern monocoque
@@R9naldo This is an actual car, only with the upper body shell removed so that they can show how Patrick drives the car in Monaco.
It had the upper bodywork removed but still you're right, these things were basically go karts with 500hp. Absolute insanity
Love that you can see his Pedal work.
Foi a coisa mais louca que eu vi na fórmula um, nasci em 1971 eu lembro desse carro

Thanks so much.
I love this.
Motor racing has changed so much god for bid if the driver had a crash no protection but I still love the P34 very nice 😊
@nagaslrac I think there is pretty big oversteer
My favourite car
Merci !
Quel funambule 🇨🇵🙏

How did anyone survive wrecking these things?
Back then they usually didn't

@lanosextreme999 *facepalm*
@nagaslrac you noticed
この当時タイヤの性能が、かなり劣って居てタイレルは6個のタイヤで、やっていたらしいですよ
バスタブじゃなくて、まさに走る棺桶
No under-steer there.
Yeah what a stupid idea

Jody Scheckter: " You could put (the P34) sideways in the straight line if you would"
Nem LG zz
6 wheel and only 4 suspension
a fuckin floating system...
it could be good for a 98 supra to make drift ! ! !
The driver seems very exposed!
He is, because they removed the upper body cowls to have the camera see how the driver drives the car.
Este si que es un super auto
