Hi there. Fantastic product and I’m wondering if you can do a 2 or 3 colour floor similar to the ones that you find on Venetian polished plaster walls and if so is the method the same or different. Also could you add metallic flakes to give the floor some sparkle. Thanks

Hi Pamela! yes, the Pastellone can be multicolored, using the same techniques used for Venetian Plaster. We also supply mica flakes, these can be integrated in the Pastellone to add some metallic creative effects!

@@StuccoItaliano-official That’s great news. What would I use to colour the product, and if its supplied by you what colours can you get. I would prefer to be able to mix the colours myself so that I can experiment with combinations and make some sample boards. Is this possible. My personal project that I will be using to learn the techniques of application on is approx 90sqM, roughly what quantity’s of the various products would I need for a 2 colour finish. Lastly, what is the finished floor like for slip resistance. Many thanks in advance.

Amazing product and great video. Can this product be applied over existing ceramic tile?

Hi Martin, thank you! Yes, Pastellone can be applied over ceramic tiles.
      Here’s how to do it:
      1. Your ceramic tiles floor must be cleaned very well, and all the possible silicon scraps must be removed. It should be dust and grease free. It is not necessary to sand the tiles.
      2. If the ceramic tiles were not placed with care, and some of them are more in relief than others, you should sand out all the evident relief. In other words, the surface should be even.
      3. Apply a fibrous plaster with extreme adhesion capacity, and that doesn’t shrink when it dries off (such as our GLP Gap Levelling Plaster), inside the gaps between the tiles, in order to level out the surface.
      4. When it is dry, apply a hand of GLP all over the surface, and let it dry completely (it normally takes 3 to 6 hours). It must be completely dry.
      5. Apply Pastellone normally.
If the ceramic tiles floor presents cracks, you should apply a mesh over the floor, as described in this article www.stuccoitaliano.com/how-to-repair-cracks-in-walls-before-painting/ (see II. How to fix cracks in a tiled floor)
You can find more detailed information on the application of Pastellone at

Thank you so much for answering my question. I really appreciate you taking the time.
Is your product available in Australia?

Hi, I would like to use this on a concrete floor. The floor has a coat of epoxy paint on it. Will Pastellone adhere to the paint, or do I need to prep it with another product?

Do you have a video explaining what the substrate needs done to it so that walking on this wont crack and separate?

The substrate can be of any type. Pastellone can be applied even on existing tiles, by coating them first with a layer of fibrous adhesive plaster.
