Transforming Your Walls with Venetian Plastering!
Great job as always look forward to seeing a bit more on the techniques used in the Venetian plastering
Thanks for watching Julian! Have a great week 😊👍
That Venetian is looking good! If you want to enhance the shine what you can do is after you burnished the top coat you can sand with 5000 grit. The 5000 grit gives it a final polish and leaves an enhanced mirror like shine
looks absolutely mint that
Thanks for watching! 😊👍
amazing! top stuff
I am writing to you from Italy. It's a nice end result. I would have liked to have seen more. I found the video too synthetic, for example the bluing with the passage of the blade is not visible. I also wanted to see how you did the rectangle in the middle of the blue .. However, you can at least tell me what kind of sandpaper you used to sand. that is, what type / size of grain did you use in the various coats of Venetian plaster ???? also did you color the black wax or do they sell it like this? Are the products, ie waxes and putty, Oikos brand? or which ones? Thank you for your reply.
Hi thier looks mint I'm looking at getting onto venitian plastering we're Did u learn this.
Nice video, Have you tried lime rather than acrylic?
Dunno where you find the time mate! Those walls are looking 👌. I'm looking to expand my skills into the venetian realms. Will be a great option to offer to my clients. Thanks for your quality content as always.
Hi, Even if you have already been asked the question, you have not answered. Could you please tell us what kind of sandpaper grain you used after the first coat of putty and after the second coat? Also by chance did you pass the sandpaper even after the third coat, or was it enough to brown with a trowel? Did you pass the polisher with the wool disc after the wax? Please give us this information if you really want to help us? I await your reply and thank you.
It's funny he liked this and didn't answer ur questions
@@kylejacktucker HI. Ahahahah. This shows how it's done and how little it takes into account who I follow it. I certainly don't anymore.
Where did you get the materials from looks amazing 👏 ive bought materials before which was lime based in the north west
Thanks, I'm glad you like it. Materials were from a company called Impera Italia, based in London. I believe they ship nation wide👍🏻
All the best, John 👷🏼♂️
😍😍😍✌🏻
I hope that two days later no one is going to come along and say "we need more plug sockets to run all the extra equipment" 😯
Thankfully we planned ahead to avoid that 😉 thanks for watching!
Wouldn't a can of spay paint do the job ,,,
I can see the appeal, but prefer the French Lime plastering,
You're working away from the plaster, you work back into it.
I'm just getting into plastering for home use only, and I'm thinking of doing a wall in my house using this style. Brilliant video!
Hi, I living in Orlando Florida, can you let me know how much may I charge for 550 sqf ceiling? White color, I'll apreciate it your support
No offence but yhis aint how its done from a man in yhat trade who has over 20 years in marble work wow lmao 🤣 and the folk who are thinking of attacking this theae mayerials are expensive 🫰 dont waste your money lol 🤣
I’ve only ever seen Venetian plastering in patterns such as marble effect before this video, now I can say it looks smart in solid colours too!
It really does! Thanks for watching Matt and have an awesome week! 😎👍
Has anyone seen a dark venetian wall like the one in this video with the LED TV back lights that follow the colors on the TV?
Looks like it'll make a great...........training academy?? I do hope that's where you're heading at the end of February, you seem to have a great team there so why not build an empire! :)
All will be revealed soon 😜
All the best, John 👷🏼♂️
Hi. I have started doing venetian plaster and sometimes it blisters/peels off. Ive done a few walls, they look good but they aren’t perfect. I use lyme base plaster. Do you know what are the causes of blistering?
Did you prime the wall?
Thanks Bro. Very Nice. I wanna know what do you do to a wall that has been plastered with cement and sand, what is the process of changing that over.
It would technically be possible to use venetian plaster over render, providing that it is totally sound and that you use the correct primer.
It's very important that the substrate you are plastering onto is solid, as any movement will transfer into the plaster and could cause cracking or delamination.
I hope this helps.
All the best, John 👷🏻♂️
I just stopped watching, you went on and on and on
☑️the black showed up pretty good but the camera didn’t pickup the depth of the blue or slivery that well…but good enough great job!!!
Why is it important tho sand the last 2 steps?
What wall sander did you use ? Great job as always ;-)
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it ☺️. I use a 150mm Makita orbital sander, it's a great bit of kit 😁
All the best, John 👷🏼♂️
Amazing quality... can't wait to see the room finished.
Thanks for watching! 😊👍
Hi mate...saw your work and wanted to know whether you do offer classes/ training to upcoming entrepreneurs...?
Looks spot on definatly something I'm looking at doing at home as a really cool feature wall excellent as always A&E...👍👍
It’s such a unique feature and I’m sure it will make an amazing addition to your home Lee! Keep us updated on how it goes 😊👍
Wau Brafooo👌👌👏👏👏👏👏
Bet someone will blue tac something to it
What is silvery glittery wax?Trying to find it.
any links to the products you used?
Alot of our "Custards" want the Old school mdf pannelling. This would be a great way to finish the bare wall
Shit... I bet that black shows up every tiny imperfection? People better be good at plastering? lol
What's the product like? looks like thick paint. You mention that most of the products are lime based, are they more like colours lime putty?
It look like really tight coats, then the burnishing on a diagonal. It that for the right effect?
Did you choose to start high on the diagonal on the light side or was that chance? Do you buff the wax after with a soft cloth?
Finished job........
Custard says....... "Can you just reduce the sheen a few grades please?" OMG!
This looks a lot easier to work with than slaked lime.. looks almost self leveling because its so thin.. whats it like mate have u ever worked with slaked lime? Is it easier?
Awesome work congratulations, what sand pads number did you use ?200 ,800,?
Nice work as always mate, don’t get how TVs are getting so big these days, recently fitted a 85” at a customers, it is crazyily big 😂😂
SHHHHH GENIUS at work ........................cracking video
Thanks for watching Antony 😎👍
Love that. Looks absolutely banging. Would like that behind my tv wall in my lounge. Although i think the reflections would drive me mad.
I trust its better in the room than on the video, comes across as bad painting, sorry, I'm sure it looks good 🙈👍
Thats looks fantastic 😉👌👍, who did you do you training with?
Talking about music...."it's not bad but"...
It was Spice Girls wasn't it
Could you say where you buy all this gear from? Would love to try this out for myself, Cheers.
Actually, I for one am watching it for the work! It’s fun to learn how you do it! Thank you!
its a pity places like yours wont take on adult apprenticeships there's plenty of 40+ aged people who would jump at the chance for an opportunity
a few years back i did a six month plastering course at college i loved it and aced it but no one would take me on because I'm in my late 40s
Hi John sorry to here that have you not tried the big subbies or sites all the best Tony 👍
Because older people who are looking to get into a trade are usually silly bastards, at least with young people we can shape them how we want to be, older people already have their own ideas and don’t want to change. That’s why no one does
@@thomasthetankengine2257 yeah mate thanks for the abuse and you're wrong companies have realised that when they take on young people they tend to leave and go it alone or onto other places for more money where as if they take on older people with a lot more life experience they stay till retirement age
@@glasgowjohn7831 nice retort John! Good luck getting a job !
i didnt know you could use floor wax on venetian plaster? looks amazing .
Looks great well done, can I ask what wax you used on the blue?
STO used to do a coating same as this, very effective 👍
How would you get the marble effect
Awesome video. Keep up the good work pal.
Could you not rub the final wax coat on with a cloth?

Thanks for watching! Well worth looking into! Have an awesome week 👍
@@BuildWithAE Keep up good work!

@@BuildWithAE that's the finish I mean is it flat .
Plaster is flat and any lines would stand out is this flat or is it " wavey/ bobbley"
