    I'm sorry but I don't feel like u properly explained why it's bad filmmaking, not defending the movie I'm genuinely confused. All u said was u don't believe he would do it for her but didn't explain why

      I did indeed, i mentioned a couple of times...that the shift in character is far too quick and vast :) thanks for the comment!

      @@MarcusFlemmings Right, did u also have a problem with the editing? If so why? As u pointed out how the editing in a different scene fit with the music and called it great filmmaking. Maybe I was thrown off as the video felt so fast paced

      @@HobanProduction So - the video isn't saying the film is bad or is full of bad filmmaking. That's why I pointed out the good things about the film. It's just pointing out that one element of the film :)

    I disagree, that decision is what seals his fate and fully immerses him in the world of crime. It is the point of no return, the rest of the crew had just discovered his tapes and Bats knew about his love interest. Baby was always going to betray them and I feel the chaos of the cop's death and the drama that followed the discovery of the tapes created a very tense situation. Why I think it isn't out of character is because it is a reaction to a very complex situation and I believe complex situations create surprises as characters do unexpected things not out of premeditation but emotion

    I said this in one of your live streams: I enjoyed the movie, all those care chases, use of music etc., but I felt something is missing. I am not sure about what is missing, you might have scratched the surface.

      Yeah, actually a bit deeper than just this one scene - the character of Baby is the problem. The other characters are really strong. His character is very weak...story wise.

    I think this scene was so traumatic to me that I forgot about it. I love this movie for its car action.

    I kind of saw it as him finally breaking from seeing jamie foxxs character shoot a cop for absolutely nothing. He didn’t want in that life anymore and just snapped. Also its not bad filmmaking it would be bad writing lol. Still love your videos.

    yes , baby is just a guy mixed up with the wrong people , his character should be more in range of a guy who is in for the thrills , but being a cold blooded killer , nah I wouldn’t buy that , Again an another excellent video

    Isn't that a problem with the writing? Not filmmaking as a whole.

      There are an infinite amount of ways the film could have ended - they picked one of the wrong ones! Thanks for the comment!

      @@MarcusFlemmings how else could it have ended?

    • @MarcusFlemmings
      @MarcusFlemmings  9 годин тому

      @@matthewhamilton2913 The answer to that question is ANY other way! The real problem comes from this action of deleting another character - it's so out of character. That's my main gripe and it really took the film from being a cut heist thriller to something dark. Watch a film like Dog Day Afternoon to see how a character out of their depth is handled :)

      I think you hurt a fanboys feelings who thinks you said all of Baby Driver is Bad filmmaking. Well, you dont need those people. But the Bad Filmmaking title for a series and choosing popular movies is provocative and gets views I guess but also brings Kita of fanboy hate comments....which is, also good 😅
