      It was our first time out there. I would love to get back there with more time to explore.

    Great video. So those stiff sidewall tires do flex, haven’t been brave enough to go down to 5psi for fear of popping the bead. What size spacers are you running?

    • @old6quart
      @old6quart  4 місяці тому

      They barely flex but do a little. I am running 1.5"-wheel spacers. I think next set of tires I will try some 7.00 or 6.50 with a softer sidewall. My brother has a set of the 6.50 STA's and I can see a difference in the traction he gets compared to mine. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Do you have specs listed somewhere on that rig? Engine, tranny, steering, tires, etc. Thank you!

    • @old6quart
      @old6quart  4 місяці тому

      Thanks for your interest. It’s basically all stock Willys drivetrain with a locker in the rear and I added an overdrive last year. The tires are 7.50 16 DeeStones. In case you are not familiar with the “stock” Willys stuff, it is a flathead L134 “Go Devil” engine (rated at 60 hp) with a T90 transmission and 5.38 gearing in the axles. Thanks for watching

      @@old6quartdoes the locker in the rear change the on pavement driving. I was think of putting lock rite lockers in my 1969 CJ5. Do you suggest just rear or both front and rear? You guys are having a lot of fun. I had a 1946 CJ2A for over 30 years and sold it in 2018. I should have kept it.

      @@jdjeep46 I really don’t notice the locker too much on the road. It gives a little sway when letting off the throttle but otherwise I don’t notice a difference. As far as the front, I have one. I just have not installed it yet. I’ve never driven anything with lockers so I’m not really sure how it would affect things.
      They are a lot of fun for sure. Thanks for watching maybe we will see you on the trail sometime 👍🏽
