This video was the only time I used spaghetti noodles. It seems to come out better using any other pasta (penne, elbow, shells,...).

If I wanted to make this but use ground turkey instead, I think I would put the meat in first so it's closest to the heating element and gets cooked through, thoroughly. I'm going to try it! I love my rice cooker, (an 8 cup Aroma), and while it does make fabulous rice, I love that I can make lots of other things in it. Great video!

Thank you. I am so glad [someone] is experimenting with this WP 1.5 cooker. When Wolfgang was on HSN this month, I ordered one because of the versatility.....and before the show was over, I ordered another one. Perfect for when the wife comes home from the YMCA for a nice hot lunch instead of a sandwich or a hot toaster oven wrap. Then I thought.....if I had two, and made maybe beef stew in one, rice in the other, we both could eat a hot lunch. Mac n cheese is great in this.Rice is perfect, and makes plenty for two, and instead of having the fridge full of leftovers, I can cook fresh for most meals.
I have the 8qt WP pressure cooker, and am experimenting, and the WP pressure oven should be here March 9th. I love Wolfgang, and I've had many items of his over the last
10-12 years.Technology has changed, and these new appliances have changed my kitchen, my cooking, and our health, ....for the better. I have the manuals [recipes] and Marian's cookbooks, but I like watching videos, and your vids are nice, clean, and crisp
Even though I have plenty of time to cook and bake [we are both retired] and are health-conscious, these new WP appliances take it a step further. Again, thank you, and I will be watching.

I recently bought a Dash 2 Cup Rice Cooker and I'll be trying this in it. It looks really good. I'm thinking about adding in some fresh diced green bell peppers, mushrooms and onions to the mix plus Italian Seasonings as well. I've missed Spaghetti 🍝 during these HOT FLORIDA DAYS... so the mini appliances are perfect for cooking during these scorching afternoons.

Ever since getting a rice cooker earlier this year, which is rapidly becoming my "go-to" appliance, I wondered if I could make spaghetti in it. Did a UA-cam search and found you. THANK YOU sooo much for this video. I think my rice cooker is a bit larger (it has up to 4 cups markings on the inside) so I "guesstimated" amounts of spaghetti and liquids. I just happened to have some leftover chicken broth. :) It came out wonderfully!! I didn't have any meat to add when I cooked it but I had enough for leftovers and added some chopped up leftover meatloaf when I heated up a batch of the leftovers. As delicious as when first cooked!! Now I'm thinking of including some chopped onion in my next batch.

Excellent for making Pizza-Mac. No pizza crust to mess with, the Macaroni noodles are used instead of crust. Put whatever toppings you enjoy on your Pizza inside the cooker with the Macaroni noodles. Stir and ADD CHEESE DURING THE LAST FEW MINUTES OF THE COOKING TIME-FRAME. It's a FAV for Car/Van camping or for Picnicking using a Portable Power Station.

It makes the noodles really sticky, you should steam the spaghetti and keep it separate, then cook your sauce, but brown the meat first, put it in the pot with salt and pepper for 10 minutes then drain the oil out add the sauce and once its hot you can add the noodles or just pour the sauce over the noodles, any left overs you can mix them together and refrigerate and reheat in a microwave..if you try this you'll see why you need to do it separately

Works great if you pay attention to instructions. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxviiltW7NlHbp_VL_bLbIkbLAvILVhnia For those that complain about "mushy" or "wet" rice I suspect they are using the included cup to measure rice (which is really only 3/4 cup) and then putting in water using a separate measuring cup that is a full cup. This results in too much water and you will get mushy or wet rice and think it is not done. Just use the included cup for both rice and water, or your own measuring cup for rice and water according to your package directions. It will come out fine. I've used mine for years for brown and white rice. If your machine is bubbling white froth out of the steam vent then it means you should have rinsed your brand of rice first to remove some of the starch. Sheesh. Makes me wonder how people can cook well enough to feed themselves.

I tried this before. I put the ground pork first for 10 mins and followed with sauce and the hotdogs. I closed the lid for 5 mins and stir it and additional 5 mins. After that I put it on a separate container and I cooked my spaghetti pasta with boiling water from the rice cooker. When it cooked, I did put it in a separate plate. I usually like my spaghetti and sauce not cooked together.

Not the same rice cooker, but should be the same setting (rice) and it does not turn out well. The noodles are always too starchy. Perhaps cook it in more water than necessary as you would on the stove, drain the noodles and brown the meat and then put the sauce and noodles back in just to warm it?
I've tried this recipe and another and does not come out well.

How long do you have to cook meat in rice cooker to get hot enough? I'm always worried it's not gonna get hot enough and mess it up

Freestyleliving It cooked until the machine clicked off, about 22 min on my machine. Ground beef cooks quickly as it’s small pieces. If in doubt just scoop out a piece and break it open. You’ll see if it’s not cooked through.

The garlic in the sauce burned my eye when it splashed in it.

Because I’m watching my weight, I use 1/4 of a cup of dry elbow pasta. You can use half a cup.

    How long do they take

It cooked quickly. I would check it before the timer clicks off. I’d recommend using elbow or penne or such noodles rather than spaghetti noodles. It comes out better.

The only catch with this is not getting rid of starch in the pasta

Rocknroll thsy is very true ! When u do this method all the starch stays in

You can reduce the starch by rinsing the pasta thoroughly before putting in cooker.

Just from the pictures and video it looks sticky as heck and the spaghetti doesn't even look fully cooked or al dente for that matter oh well you like it and that's all that matters me I'll pass and let others know this is ok but NOT GOOD

Jiajia LI I have one that I bought just for using at work. It's great! I do find that elbow, penne, or such types of pasta works a bit better than the spaghetti noodles though.
