    Thank you so much for posting this video of our Yamaha R7 levers, very informative for us and your viewers. Unfortunately the lower hole must be a "press fit diameter" to fully eliminate any play around the sleeve. Based on your and other's feedback, we have amended our installation instructions which now mentions the usage of a hydraulic press or a bench vice clamp. We are very pleased to hear that you like the overall feel and ergonomic improvement of our R7 levers which are proudly designed, manufactured and assembled in Austria since 2008. Greetings from the MG Biketec team!

      Thank you for the comment, I truly am enjoying the levers and was happy to see they were made in Austria. I thought about using my press to put in the roll pin I was more worried of damaging the levers or roll pin. I hope it works for others, cheers!!!

    Thanks for the vid; love that you helped out a buddy with original levers. I vice-pressed that inner barrel (very easy with a vise and a couple different sized sockets). So no drama there and they fit, look and feel great. They are worth the money, heavy CNC aluminum with 7 points of adjustment; much better than factory. Anniversary edition mods: M4 exhaust w/silencer (a must, seriously guys - foam ear plugs)-no flash or tuning,177degree temp even during summer in Arizona. White halo front flush turn signals, fender eliminator w/ tiny high intensity rear turn signals, quick shifter, light tinted wind screen, carbon wrapped plastics beneath pillion seat, frame sliders, rear spools, tank grips and clear tank protector to show off that beautiful red stripe. Next up, brake lines. Looking forward to track days...Peace all.

  • @metalmavenmike80

    LEVERS YES! They make the ride so much better. Am i right? I used a dremel and opened the ID of the hole little by little. As an ex machinist of 16 years i knew i could handle the .003 clearance issue. The amount of metal removed by hand has less force than a drill. a small dremel with a sanding wheel puts less stress on the lever. taken in small amounts of sanding time this is a paintless task IMO and well worth every penny as i own and have installed the exact levers on the same YZF-R7. IF you want NO labor involved do wait for the fully supported levers as Scout has mentioned as these are not instant drop in.

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  2 роки тому +1

      @@ScoutsOut i originally thought my hammer bloomed out the roll pin metal and then i used my calipers and measured the pin and ID of the holes and was like.....hmm they are two sizes. It's funny how you don't realize stock levers are 3 ft long 😂 it's like they want you to panic brake lock up 🤣 Besides the problem they seem pretty nice. How's the reach adjustment, I have big hands and like them far away from the bars? Maybe its just the R7 first run that got messed up. 🤙

      haha right, for me the stock levers feel just a touch too far out and with these ive been able to adjust it just to the right spot, on the far end though they are further than the stock so id say the adjustment of them is good and you would get a further reach than the stock ones. thanks for watching bro

      i hate when you pull in the clutch thats a mile long they make you feel obligated to 4 finger them. These are WAY better feel. My riding, braking, and shifts are so much better.

      ASV levers would be great, but they still have yet to make a set, hopefully soon
