I’ve been told every time I have bought professional hair mask that you MUST use conditioner after to “seal” your ends! So if this is not true and I can skip conditioner that day I use my hairmask..I’m saving so much time ,product and money!
He did say it is vital to spray on a leave-in conditioner after towel drying to seal in the moisture you just added to your hair from the mask however... the mask is taking the place of regular conditioner that day.
Chopped off my very long hair back up to just below my collar bone from almost my waist and wanted to start again.I had not looked after it,very dry ends( hated conditioner) oily scalp, split ends galore! The chop was in February this year,I found Chris's channel and really took onboard what he said,now follow the trinity, using hair masks too.Also take marine collagen and my peri-menopausal hair has already grown loads.. ( Past my shoulders)It's swishy and has almost stopped breaking and shedding! Thank you x

I have read and been told that shampoo open up the layers of the hair and the conditioner helps to close the hair up. And therefore the hair mask is supposed to be between the shampoo and conditioner. You are saying that the hair mask is a strong conditioner, so how does the hair react to the different products in the shower in that case? 😊🌷
I have a real problem with influencers raving on about how awesome products are that are followed by comments saying how crap they are. It makes deciding what products to purchase products really challenging.
This was helpful as in the summer my hair gets so frizzy and so dry as I have curly hair and it is a nightmare 😊😊

Hey Amy! It could also be new growth or baby hairs. Do they tend to come and go? If so it's probably the latter and you don't need to worry. But if it's breakage it could be from tying your hair up very tightly or color. If it is breakage my best recommendation is using leave in conditioner to keep it protected so it doesn't continue to break 👍

In your video on Olaplex No.3, you state to use a mask after using it instead of conditioner. On your video on hair masks you list Olaplex No.3 as a hair mask that you recommend. I am confused. why is it that people with little to no hair have the best hair advice.
You are talking about ME, I got really damaged hair from color/ highlights especially on the top and in the front; so how would I apply this to these “SHORT” areas? She said she used olaplex in both color and highlights, my hair wasn’t soft at all , and when I shampooed it 3 days after, with a mask, the lowlights faded on my highlights in spots, it looks so blotchy. Advice HELP!
My personal favorite mask is over ripe bananas and egg white.. I also add vitamin E capsule on it

Okay...after i take a shower...wash my hair with shampoo...rinse all the water from my head...then i have to apply the hair mask...but whats the last step...do i have to use a conditioner again to seal it?

Hi, as you said, hair mask must be applied before conditioner to help keeping moisture? I always apply conditioner first then hair mask later :(
I think he means to apply hair mask in the shower instead of traditional conditioner, then use a spray leave-in conditioner to help seal in the moisture as part of the immediate post shower routine. From his other videos, it sounds like using leave-in conditioner is essential every time after you clean your hair, whether you used a regular conditioner or a mask first.
What's a leave-in conditioner
It's one you spray on. He recommends Pureology Color Fanatic leave in, and it has transformed my hair! No longer dry.

Me too.. I had another question like I shampoo once a week actually like after 4-5 days I shampoo is conditioning done every day? Or every two day? If yes then do I just straight up wet my hair from the roots with water then squeeze out excess water and put on conditioner?
@@emptyblank990 No, you condition only when you wash your hair. You can add oil to dry hair daily if that's what your hair needs but don't wet it every day
It's assumed that you wash your hair a few times a week, that's why it might be a little confusing. He says masking depends on the damage you have, so if it's damaged - every wash (for a while), if it's healthy but looses a bit hydration - every two weeks, and if you want to maintain it - every four weeks.
In your case, if you need to restore it first, use it every wash for a few washes. Once you notice good changes, use it every other wash and so on. Makes sense?

I use hair masks before washing my hair-one with heavy oils like coconut and castor oil and when washing i use a hydrating one after shampooing. The first i use every 3 washing and the second every time . For locking conditioner currently am using restructuring serum. My hair simply died after covid and this treatment helps me get a little life and shine in it….

Hey there! Nothing wrong with using a hair mask that often at all :) The only thing is the hair might get a bit heavy with all the hydration making it harder to hold a curl. Very smart to use the leave-in conditioner with it 👍
What about using DIY hair masks like the avocado ones or the banana ones, are those good to use?
DIY hair masks aren’t the 1000% best thing in the world for your hair. if you’re worried about the cost for a good and effective hair mask, look at the shea moisture deep moisturizing mask, i use that as a dupe for when i’m out of moroccanoil (ironically now). the biggest thing is, just because something is natural or homemade doesn’t mean it’s as effective or more effective
Would you recommend using purple shampoo on natural blonde hair, or is this something that only treated hair see a benefit out of?
Hey, I wouldn't use it if your hair is naturally blonde. Unless you really really want to change the tone of it.

@@tamel1984 It's hard to say without seeing the hair. Typically natural blonds don't have much brassiness. And purple shampoo works best on porous hair where the pigment can be absorbed by the hair. And natural hair isn't usually very porous.

Whenever i put conditioner in my hair just mid length to ends I GET HAND FULL OF HAIR FALLING. Im worried about putting any conditioner or hair mask. Cuz rinsing out my hair is gonna be a problem. Hey Kassandra! Frizz is a styling problem. Some products can help a little bit here and there. But really the best way to make it go away is with a good blow dry 👍

Yeah, that's the most important. In this case the mask replaces your normal conditioner. After your normal conditioner you would always put on the leave-in conditioner. So you do the same with the mask 😊👍
Love your videos and the trinity system! So, theres not any reason to do masks with a heat cap for several hours? Just apply in the shower and leave in for 8-15 minutes gives all the benefits?

1. Do your first wash with shampoo
2. Apply Olaplex #3 liberally to towel-dried hair
3. Let the Olaplex sit for at least 10 minutes (up to 30-90 minutes) olaplex.com/blogs/news/your-guide-to-olaplex-no-3
4. Do your second wash with shampoo
5. Apply hair mask (My hair mask, RedKen All Soft, requires my hair to be towel dried before applying. Follow your hair mask's instructions)
6. Rinse out hair mask
7. Pat dry hair preferably with a microfiber towel
8. Spray Leave-in conditioner and detangle hair
