Is there any lighting compatibility or is it only suitable for unlit characters? Thanks in advance.
The spine-ue4 runtime provides a lit material, which allows the skeleton to be affected by lighting.
Possible to achieve procedural animation in Unreal Engine using this?

The installation process for adding the Spine plug-in is exactly the same for Windows and MacOS. If you are having trouble with something specific, please post your question on the Spine forum: esotericsoftware.com/forum/
How do i attach another component in my actor character to a slot/bone of the spine skeleton?
You can use the Spine Bone Follower component. Please refer to the documentation for more information: esotericsoftware.com/spine-ue4#Skeleton-Follower-Component
Also, our latest example project has a level to demonstrate how to use the component: 08-bone-follower. It would be helpful for you.
Seems like it won't work in ue 5.3 as the runtime has a error with SpineAtlasImportFactory.cpp(31): fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'AssetRegistryModule.h': No such file or directory
There's an open issue for it on the tracker and it's going to be fixed this week.
I had this issue. Commenting out the "#include "AssetRegistryModule.h"" seem to let me compile the project
Hi ! after seeing this video, i have some problem with the render.
All is visible/animate in my editor view, but when i start a game test, nothing appears, all my spine sprite is hide.
Anyone know where is the problem ? Ty !
You probably haven't set a skin. Note that the preview skin of the SkeletonAnimation component is not reflected when you actually start the game. See the "09-skins" section in our other video that explains spine-ue in more detail: ua-cam.com/video/qsegyDYwmTI/v-deo.html

I want my spine character to ragdoll in unreal engine, how do i do that ?
You can modify bone transforms or overwrite them with another actor's transform. See the following sections of the spine-ue4 runtime documentation for more information:

do I Transform Each bone to add physics to it or there is something simpler ?
@@CaptinJetmouse99ragdoll physics are unlikely to make it into the next video tutorial I'm afraid. But we've put them on the list of things to do!

@@guanyangwu9118 Unfortunately, there is currently no feature that allows you to put Spine animations on a timeline and play them like the Timeline extension for the spine-unity runtime.
Hi, I experienced an error when importing my spine assets into unreal engine. I have matched my spine version with the runtime version, but it still fails. I am using spine 3.8.75. Can you help me?

@@ariakarasya927 No worries! You only buy Spine once, then you get all updates forever. You can choose any version at start up. 4.2 is the latest and has maaany bug fixes since 3.8, which is very old. 4.2 also has physics! If you still have trouble with Unreal, post on the Spine forum for help.
