i remember when i was in 7th grade i wanted a shot at the flute solo and my band director said i should try for it. there were 2 8th graders that wanted it and i was afraid one of them would get it and not me. in the end one of the 8th graders and i tied so we both just split the solos! i was super nervous but i played well and i was so proud of myself! now i sit first chair in the high school band as a sophomore (and there's only one band in my school so it's 9-12 in the band)

Nice. I was first chair percussion in my school's only band as a freshman, but to be fair there were only 2 other ones in the band. We had like 25 people altogether.

The clarinets seem flat to me
When my band plays this we don’t sound flat and it sounds better that way. Then again I Brielle that we do more advanced then this so maybe that makes it different

Aww.....I'm a tenor sax and clarinet player. I do feel sorry for you and any other tenor players. Tenor Sax does get some interesting parts though.
Thanks! I find it a little weird that they charge almost $4 for each part, but why would I pay that to play half/whole and quarter notes like??!? If I got the melody once in a while I wouldn't mind paying that much, but I don't so it's like forget it.
Umm how about percussion? I love how wind players always complain about their part while percussionists have rests for like 90% of most songs.
