Ich habe bereits ein Video von außen gemacht, leider ist die Sound auf Grund von Windgeräuschen nicht zu gebrauchen 🙄 Ich werde das Ganze nochmal wiederholen müssen.
The Akrapovic from the TCR will only fit on the GTI models equipped with the 2.0 TSI. So you can fit it on a standard GTI and the Performance GTI, but not on a 1.0 or 1.5 TSI.
I made some shots from the outside, but the sound was terrible due to wind noises, because I didn't have a external microphone. The middle silencer is quite big, so the sound is definitely louder and raspier than before, but there's still no drone inside, so that's good. Also the pops and bangs are way louder 😉 Should have come from the factory like that, I'm totally satisfied.
It's a custom made stainless steel pipe, which has a slightly smaller diameter than the OEM resonator inside and is fitted within the resonator. From the outside everything looks stock, which is important here in Germany 😉
Doesn't drone at all, no matter which speed. It's a little loud if I drive faster than 160 km/h for an hour or longer. But I also have the rear seats removed, which makes the exhaust sound louder in the cabin. With the rear seats, trims and all the insulation etc. installed it's totally fine, perfect sound level, not to quiet and not too loud. With the resonator it's just too quiet, almost disappointing.
The Akrapovic is a full cat/GPF back, so the resonator is part of the Akrapovic system. It's a one piece system though, the only connection is right after the downpipe, everything else is welded.
@@robincherrier1804 it's a thin stainless steel pipe, that has a little bit smaller outer diameter than the inner diameter of the resonator and is just stuffed inside the resonator. So no welding and it can be simply removed by pulling the pipe out. From the outside it looks completely stock, keeping the OEM lock.
Have you got any more videos?
Ein kurzes Video während der Fahrt wäre super 👍🏻
Ist in Planung 😉

@@Chris675R Pero vale el mismo para el gti 7 y gti 7.5???? Gracias
Hai fatto un ripresa da fuori?? Hai notato differenze togliendo solo silenziatore centrale? Si sente di più il fart?

Can you send a link from the delete pipe?

@@Chris675R so do you still have resonator there??
Stock downpipe?
Yes, downpipe is stock
Does it drone above 100km/h?

Verliert man die Zulassung dadurch?
Ich sag mal so, 100% legal ist es nicht 😉

The res who was delete is from akrapovic ? Also the akrapovic would be a full catback ?

@@Chris675R Okay I see, so you welded a stainless steel or titanium tube ?
