i remember one of my friends showing me this band back when I was a freshman in high school. He was a senior at the time and this was my first time listening to this type of music. It’s the reason why we got along so well. He’s now in the army and im currently in my first year of college. i hope all goes well for you luke.
the guitarist in this song is amazing. I've listened to guitarist play and most just have a rock tone to it. but this guitarist is inventive and I love it.
Honorable mention for 2:47, 4:04 and 4:30 as well. For real though, this song has so many inventive passages. They went all out on the rhythms, melodies, harmonies, chord progressions, emotion... everything. It's unreal. Absolutely in my top 5 favorite songs of all time and my #1 for drums.
This song is a fucking masterpiece even 11 damn years later There is so much going on and ahhh I just love this mix of progressive and post hardcore like man plus that little bit of Math rock I'm literally losing it.
Regretful rivers flow aplenty in his mind; the tributaries are the choices he declined...wow fucking awesome song, amazing I haven't heard of these guys sooner.
@@actuallyasriel from this band for me its: "Like that time we met disaster, covered up in sheets of plaster, driving faster! I taste the pavement on my tongue"--Mourning Sickness
lol what lyrics were they? seems odd to get hooked by the lyrics of a song thats mostly about murdering someone, even though they're pretty good at times
It was a really elaborate drawing of a heart and all it's veins with "Can I rearrange your veins?" underneath it all. I liked the idea of the image and wanted to find the source (if there was any) to the words. It seemed like a pretty meaningful peace.
Literally every song these guys put out forces me to relisten at LEAST 4 times so i can appreciate every damn instrument. And then i usually listen for a 5th lol
I talked to them and they said that the fall of Troy was a major influence for writing their music. Their kick ass live and they're all cool as hell :)
Best show I ever went to was Rock yourself 2 §leep in Orlando. Originally went to see Dance Gavin Dance, I had never even heard of Hail the sun until seeing then that night.. True fan ever since October 2023
So I only learned of this band by downloading a setlist for Clone Hero. I'm thankful that it led me to this band, I may never have heard them on my own.
There's this guy with a channel called halsb that does a bunch of rocksmith 100% runs and one of the songs he did was Burn Nice and Slow. I thought it was a really good song so I looked up these guys and now here I am.
This was the first song they played live here in Denver..... They took my heart after that I swear to god =) I really dont even like the music, Circa Survive to be exact with comparison. This music is real music, Changes so frequently Its such a masterpiece =) I love you guys
This song displays so much aggression, it make me feel sad knowing I understand this feeling too well, but again maybe Im deserving of death, it's all perspective

They definitely fucking are!!! Hopefully you have heard Fall of Troy because Erak's guitar is still underrated as hell.
@jacobbharrat9915 hopefully you have heard of a human abstract, along those same lines. 😜
OK I know the riff at 1:48 is absolute nut material but can we talk about the whole bit from 3:23 ? Holy hell, it hits like a truck.
actuallyasriel 😎👍🏼🔥
Repenting Monster! Switching Roles with God!
3:23 is the only reason I live for
What about 4:03
Honorable mention for 2:47, 4:04 and 4:30 as well.

Literally feel the same way. There’s something about their music that allows me to pour my own emotions into it while listening to it yknow.
I saw these guys a few weeks ago. They are so underrated. Definitely gives a vibe of Circa Survive, and Fall of Troy. THEY NEED MORE MUSIC!!!
kudos to that
bouta see them this july 🙌🏼 10 years later still going hard
Regretful rivers flow aplenty in his mind; the tributaries are the choices he declined...wow fucking awesome song, amazing I haven't heard of these guys sooner.

Sometimes I get so frustrated with a person and this song just says it all. It helps a lot with those situations.
It’d never be a good excuse to the heinous crime that is hail the sun not blowing up yet
Literally every song these guys put out forces me to relisten at LEAST 4 times so i can appreciate every damn instrument. And then i usually listen for a 5th lol

Holy shit. This is so good. How have I not heard of these guys.
I love how Donovan had a Kendrick Lamar happen to him where his voice somehow only got higher the older he got
for real though
Just listened to this for the first time and omfg...the tempo changes and swings...this might be one of the best songs I've ever heard
Been trying to find this song for the past few days. Finally I'm here!! lol

A lot like Birds - Think dirty out loud + Circa Survive - The greatest lie = Hail the Sun - Will they blame me if you go disappearing?

Sometimes you find the best music in the weirdest ways.
