You guys should have done a before & after like with vs without Primer. With a full face of makeup..I can't tell if the primer worked or you guys just use good foundations & setting powders

i heard yellow and i looked at her and i was like... am i missing something? like where? ahhaa
No undertones are not the same as skin tones. Green combats redness but redness that occurs due to blemishes or sensitivities on the service. It is confusing sometimes but what they presented is correct.
just got the blue primer for hydrating the skin. it works for all skin types. at first I thought it was terrible because it felt very oily like baby oil, but after it sat for a few minutes my face was silky smooth and not oily at all and my make up actually stuck in place longer and I loved it! my face was even smooth after I took the make up off

Wednesday Watkins thr blue one, the ones that is specifically meant for hydrating, is great for dry skin. if I was my face twice a day like recommended, my t zone gets VERY dry and flaky, so the blue one was a life saver. however , id use it twice a day for two days before using make up just to be sure that the foundation doesn't look flaky on me.

Elizabeth 6526 I would leave it on for about 5-10 minutes to let it settle, then gently pull a piece of toilet paper in half(it has two layers) and used it to softly blot away any excess primer that didn't soak in. And yes, I would recommend it 100%. But I will use it for a few days before actually using make up if my t zone was super flaky and dry.

I bought these for practice makeup applications for school and was surprised by how good they were! The hydrating primer is excellent! It shocked me how nice the product felt on the skin.
I tried the poreless face primer, and it was amazing! It faded my acne scars and actually helped with breakouts. I need to restock but I haven't found it in Canada 😪 and I'm not trying to spend extra money on shipping lol

When it said redness it means like pimples and stuff not white people that are so white they're pink??????? Lmao. You can't give the primer credit for what the foundation would've done in the first place. I feel like these girls are really not suit to review makeup.

Green primers are actually really great. It minimizes how much foundation you have to use. Also, instead of having to use a really heavy full coverage you can put the primer on and then green concealer (if still needed) and a light/medium foundation depending on redness. Money saver too, cause sometimes good full coverage foundations are too pricey.
That's kind of rude to say about white people, I am white and I would never say she was so black she looked purple or blue, and I have seen purple people.

I didn’t hear them mention in the video how the green primer is ideal for blemish prone skin yes! But it also contains 2%salicylic acid which helps prevent and treat current acne! Use this as a acne defense.

Nicole Vannoy I bought the purple one yesterday and I read the package carefully. It said it helps with redness, dryness, fine lines, big pores, and flakiness of the skin so I bought it. I haven't tried it yet but I've been reading a bunch of reviews and watching videos and they all say stuff about yellow undertones and nothing about anything else and I'm worried that I spent $6 on the wrong thing! I've also read lots of complaints that there isn't as much product in the bottle as it looks like..

I have rosacea and acne prone skin. But being 52 my skin is dryer and not as acne prone as I was before. This is very helpful. I need to find a good one to wear under makeup.
The pink one is a MUST HAVE for me b us I have a very oily skin like when thw light hit into my face I look like a frying pan when an oil on it that I can almost cook some eggs especially when the sun hits my face. This is so amazibg! Goshhh!!! You two are such a life saver for me every tip you share and tell I always try and follow it and it works pretty well guys. These make my face really itchy especially around my nose. I dont get any redness or rash, I just get so itchy all day around my nose.

omg i just got the elf blemish primer and the bottle is green like it was there but when it came out it was white instead of green??
the inside bottles are colored 😐which makes me mad lol,u can unscrew it and take the bottle out its actually tiny and only half full
there are two different green bottles out now. the one they used in the video is tone adjusting face primer that I LOVE btw. I recently grabbed the green bottled elf primer at target without reading it and realized when I used it that it came out white, that one is the blemish control one and has salicylic acid in it (the green bottle is a bit brighter than the tone adjusting one) so get the one that says tone adjusting, that one is green like in the video.

I don't know why, but this is one of the very few Elf products that I've yet to try! I could use either the green primer of the pore minimizing one that Ani used, both would be suitable for my skin. I have super oily, acne prone skin with some acne scarring and pigmentation. I will definitely pick this up the next time I'm in target or cvs! 😘😘

I got the pink one awhil ago and i just thought it felt super greasy on my face and then the foundation just looked oily and gross. I don't know if its just me or if its always like that?

I like your energy and tone of this. You are both very attractive and have good potential to continue doing these types of reviews.
The green did really "tone down" the guy's face, particularly when the foundation was added. It neutralizes the red color, quite a bit. I think I would have liked to have seen a woman wearing this - rather than a male. It would have made more sense, particularly when adding the foundation.
Also, if you are reviewing these products - you will want to go into these things...
(at least mention your quick impressions of this as you are doing the video)
All of The Who, what, where, when, how, and why's of the product...
Particularly go into the sensual experience of the product... like what this feels like when you put this on, what it smells like as you apply it, and if there is a lingering smell through the day as you wear it.
One of the thing that a lot of youtube cosmetic gurus do - is to do a "check in" - time line... where throughout the day, they wear the product and will show how the product wears after certain hours of wear. You don't have to do this every hour - on the hour... you could just "check in" at key points of the day and let people know how this product is holding up through the day... and how many hours into it - the product begins to show signs of things to watch out for, if you purchase this product.

I just got my E.L.F. Lavender primer in the mail today and I almost panicked thinking I got the wrong primer :( I have yellow tones and after seeing your review I was like, okay cool I'll get the Lavender but my products packaging discription is different then the ones y'all have and didn't mention anything about helping with yellow tones.
The primers have actually changed! I recently bought the green one and it is white rather than green. Also, it is now a blemish control primer, not for redness. Make sure to read product descriptions when buying them, you never know when changes are made!
Actually no they haven't, there are two different "green primers"'. The you bought is not part of the mineral face primers collection but in general, they both do the same thing. Redness and blemishes counteract with green so . . . yea. The primer that comes out green is called "tone adjusting green" and is meant to create a smooth canvas.

It doesn't matter what the description says, purple will even out skin tone so I think it falls in the line of evening out yellow tones. :)
Oh I get that it still works more or less like how the girls described, I just kind of panicked thinking I got too over zealous shopping and picked the wrong primer. But I already knew that purples help cancel out yellows and green helps cancel out reds. It just threw me off when my stuff came in and the description said it helped with redness. I didn't realize purple can help cancel out redness too, at least according to their product description :) Thanks, you guys!

These primers are rip offs . The size of the tube tricks you into thinking that you get a certain amount of product. In reality if you take apart the container you'll see that you are only give a small amount of product . It sucks because I do like the product formula but still

I just got it, and I unscrewed the dispenser thing because I thought it would have a seal or something (You never know). I was really disappointed to see that they had that outer layer to make it look like more product, but they also changed the tint of the color to make it seem more appealing. As a person with really red skin, the green primer did nothing for me.
I have the Poreless pink one, and to me, it smells SO much like chemicals! I love ELF!! It's my fave brand for everything!! BUT I thought the smell was a littttttle overbearing .... What do you think/??

Mine smells elf primer for poreless skin has a medicinal smell. It works okay as any other primer. I'm just put off by the scent.

i have dry skin and it actually moisturizes my cheeks? and it does make my pores look smaller (i have the poreless one lol) but i dont like how it smells tbh

did any of you do a day test? I bought two of these today, the one for oily skin made me SO oily. At application it felt great but 6 hours in my foundation and concealer were gone! All I'm left with is a shiny greasy face.

el priner sirve si no atomizas todo el prodicto. Con la mitad es suficiente, sino si van a tener la cara muy grasosa y se les va a estar cayendo el maquillaje. Sobre todo si hace calor, se usa muy poquito producto
