First of all I'm not a graphics snob, I'm completely fine playing an old game as long as the style is good. This game looks like Wheelman got burnt. (Yes I checked the brightness setting). This game is so dark and dingy with the game being saturated in all the wrong areas. The lens flare made me question if there was something wrong with my monitor. The sun looks grey in this game same as everything. If you've ever played Battlefield 3 and been disgusted with the blue or green tinge, this game is you're worst nightmare. Aside from the game not really holding up. I thought the old games did there vehicle handling ten fold better. I'm not trying to be some old boomer vying for the good old days. Man every time I took a corner to drift the game does that nauseating hyper zoom on the rear windshield. Every car felt like it had water sloshing around the trunk making for frequent spinouts and an even worse time getting out of a jam. I thought this game was stinky. Similar to a moldy stuffed animal you have fond memories of, but just needs to be forgotten about and thrown away before if makes you ill. Now that I've laid into this game for disappointing me feel free to lay into me and tell me your thought on this. After this is just my opinion
This game is what made me love cars and know all kinds of cars and parts, huffffttt the beautiful childhood will never return to those days. I can't believe it's been 23 years, thank you content creator for bringing me back to that time🙌🏻🔥

I can't tell you how many memories this game triggers! I was hooked on this game when I was eight! I spent hours after school, on weekends and holiday breaks playing this along with many others such as the early Need for Speed games, Burnout games, Forza, etc. It takes me back to my grandparent's house and I would bring the console along with a few games from home and my brother would hook it all it for me in the guest room and I'd just to go town on this! The graphics were great for the time, the selection of cars was healthy, and you can choose different cities to drive in as a bonus. But the background music, the sound effects, and the visual checkpoints all trigger those wonderful memories of being a 2000s kid. The best time that can never be relived. It will be missed especially nowadays with how wacko the world has become. Take me back to 2006 please!
It is crazy how powerful these memories are. That's the main reason I mostly play retro games modded to be slightly more modern. Nice channel, by the way; a mix of diecast and real cars.

One of the beauties of being a kid when this came out is a GS430 with Lexanis and a chrome grill is STILL “brand new” to me, and I could build a DUB one for 1/3 of the price of a new Ford Fusion. Every car in this game still seems new and cool to me.

I still to this day say and argue that Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition Remix is the best PS2 racing game of all time! I put thousands of hours into this game and know all routes to all the hardest races by heart.
Those last few intense seconds of the race when you’ve finally managed to pull ahead, was always so intense, hands sweat, tunnel vision…and the manny fresh comes on to let you know you got the W lol dam I miss the days and many nights…

Life back then was just fast and more fun. No phones with apps and all. Everything was in the forefront which made life seem soo much more vibrant then as now.

I broke two ps2 controllers thanks to this game lmao. I hated being in first place for most of the race then crashing right when i was about to win. It's one of the best car games for sure.

Also, do not forget the big signs which is a letter of (R*) They are distributed in several places that you must search for in order to complete the stage. You must look for them and they are required among the missions I completed all of them, but this thing was at the time when the game was released. It has been a long time since I played it, but I remember everything about it well. But I thank you for posting it and reminding us of these beautiful memories 💙

I wanted to complete the missions myself.. but I was interested in using the code designated to prevent collisions or deformation of the car’s paint. This is the only one that I used the most before starting any stage lol hahaha

Please tell us your config. Have you set yours to 300% overclock? If yes, did you do it in the PCSX2 Settings or the Game Properties? Unfortunately, the 60 FPS patch speeds up the game, which means the Opponents are sped up, too.
I still have it and my memory card with all the cars iv built and raced i did a 1964 impala as a lowrider found out you never race with the car raised up it was a heck of ride but lowered it was a beast and the cpu just couldnt handle me
Winning the club races in the early part or middle part of the story pays less, and may be more challenging than post-game, typically, always save the Muscle, Luxury or SUV and even the bike clubs until after becoming US Champion to maximize payouts, and the club races are easier post-game, especially with max upgraded Class B vehicles. Of those club rewards, only the Skyline and Four-Twelve had the most use during the main story.

I didn't know there was a solution to the blur effect on the street lights, I can't wait to see how it works.
It's not a perfect solution since it needs to be reset, but it does make the game playable. I'll add a tutorial to my next MC3 video.
