All I can say is HOLY SHIT.!.!.!.!.!! Think I found my new amp, there is so many different applications for this amp with this power, 4 channels, and the bridging...... I was gonna go all SKAR but this new SFB line has me reconsidering my choice.
If this thing runs up to 750 watts per ch in certified mode, the power is fairly clean. Class A / A/B are tough to beat sq wise if you have the ears tho.
Looks like the amp can do 800+ watts per channel. That would put it well over 3k!! Most of the tests were done well under rated voltage. Video should reflect that. Awesome job Sundown.

I wonder what 40hz numbers look like since this was all 1khz tests. If you want to know what 1ohm, 2ohms and 4 ohms looks like fully loaded, divide the bridged numbers by 2 and that will tell you what all channels driven looks like.
Can you give me an idea what may cause the protect light to flash and the clip light to stay on solid and the the power light to flash on every few seconds. Dose this with or without speakers and rca's hooked up. Bought used like this trying to get it up and running. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Almost all class d 4 channels from good companies can do 1 ohm. The "Phillips" board as used in the NVX jad 800.4, soundstream 900.4 and polk pad4000.4 can do 1 ohm no problem. Another example is pioneer 8604,9604 and 8704
I got the surfboard still lol. Now needs some work so I bought the SFB 1000.4 to replace it while it’s being fixed. I’ll decide later if I like it better or not
Back in 2014 on my first system i ran my mtx terminaters (2 ohm) bridged on amy alpine 4 channel. It ran fine and never broke. But my amp would get INSAINELY hot. Iike you couldve cooked a steak on it.

@@menard79 it went very well. Puts out good power and runs cool in my trunk. I upgraded to the 1000.4 because I wanted more headroom for my 6 8" mids and 4 super tweeters. I also have a SFB 5k and will probably add a second 5k in the spring.
@Kevyn Wilson Thats awesome man. I have 4 DS18 PRO6×9's that are 250 watt RMS. I have a Stetsom 2000 watt 4 channel on it now but my amp and subs are all sundown. I didn't know if the SFB 500.4 put out a total of 500 watts or if it was per channel. My sub amp is the SFB-8000D. I'd like all my stuff to be Sundown. Thats all the info I need. Well, I just got my SFB-500.4. I am going to the glass shop in the morning to get plexiglass cut for this 500.4. I already did one for my 8k and i love it. I am getting ready to install it in 2 minutes. Hey, thanks for the info. Because of you, is why I bought it. And because I like to have all the same brand stuff in a system.
Hits one of these amps with a low ohm test a lot of people are having these amps just quit and every video I see on it they just bashing it saying it just burned up for no reason... would that be cause of going below the rated impedance cause I wanna but one for my doors but now idk I just need to know these amps are golden and they gonna hang in there I see you abusing it right here so I don’t know why people are having problems with these amps... does anyone else have problems out of them
@@Corblea I just stayed with crescendo… I’ve heard to many stories already so I stayed away from the SFB amps… I run the Concerto c2000.4 and it’s been a monster… crescendo makes a really good amp and they half ohm rated and even warrantied for another 100 bucks for 2 years on the half ohm…
Finally some good quality inputs in a "full bridge". Those shitty Chinesium pot metal terminals that even hertz/focal are using SUCK! Rockville uses them exclusively, that tells you everything you need to know. Taramps are even worse as they don't fit standard wire sizes they're meant forj unkyard thhn home wire ripped out of the wall as found in 3rd world Brazil
Hey guys can we stop requesting gut shots of full bridge. There just not sexy like a half bridge . I almost feel like I am cheating using the full bridge amps I have but man it saves so much space . My sfb 8k is .25 the size of a Korean 8k but definitely different way to make power
Wiring flexibility is not something to complain about lol rather you should appreciate it... Some may run multiple sub setups with these or just their mids/highs or front stage

Power is great, but I'm curious as to the sound quality. Does it suffer from the same gritty harshness of the Brazilian amps ?

Looks like the amp can do 800+ watts per channel. That would put it well over 3k!! Most of the tests were done well under rated voltage. Video should reflect that. Awesome job Sundown.

They didn't load all channels. The output of only two channels like in the test will be a bigger number. I wonder why they didn't load all 4 channels.
