I am a fellow Casey's Monthly Class member. Love your video about Seattle. Great job! Our son lives in Bellingham. So, we visit Seattle at least twice a year. It is a beautiful city.
I appreciate coming across your video. My gf and I are moving to Seattle in a month from florida, originally from nyc. We visited last month. It’s our choice but we’re scared it’s the wrong choice. We did like it from our visit and look forward to all the good about it, but the bad may be getting to us. Maybe it’s just how we’re perceiving it but I don’t know. Maybe it’s cause we went in January and Seattle was greatly affected by COVID more than other cities with the crime targeting lot of the local business, the homeless and the downtown lacking some energy. Look forward to checking out more of your videos.
Hey superdragon! Welcome to Seattle (next month)! Seattle certainly has been affected a lot by covid and in some places its sad to see, especially Downtown, because so few people are down there on a daily basis. But that will come back. There are so many places to explore, so many neighborhoods, mountains and lakes. Please let me know if you need recommendations when you arrive
We live in downtown Seattle and we love it! We love being close to all the restaurants, coffee shops (not Starbucks, lol), museums, parks, neighborhoods, lightrail, ferries, and the new waterfront area will be done in 2 years! We have two big dogs and walk around the city constantly (driving here is annoying IMO - only take car to go way out of city) and feel safe - you gotta have basic street smarts obviously - it’s a city not the suburbs. Things are coming back to life every month too..like ANY city there are problems, especially COVID related, but we have seen changes over the last few months. Plus, the media exaggerates things a lot. I grew up in Florida and lived in Colorado for a number of years and I’d never go back to either places - Seattle is just way more interesting, beautiful, and exciting! There’s my Seattle plug!
@@Seareader Thanks for the reply. We started the drive to Seattle the past Monday. We’re a actually staying overnight in Colorado Springs right now before moving on. We’re almost there. This part of Colorado seems nice but after driving through Texas, New Mexico and now Colorado in the winter, I appreciate the greenery that Seattle and WA has.
Hey from Casey's Monthly class! I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I have. We've always wanted to visit Seattle but haven't gotten to yet - think we'll have to make it a road trip stop sometime (in the summer so we miss some of this rain 😂). Great video and perspective!
@@FindMeInSeattle We'll definitely be looking to follow the nice weather to maximize our days in the tent! And thank you - I can't wait to see what you share about Seattle 🤘

Yes, things stay wintery and dry/brown in Colorado for awhile…some flowers are already blooming here in Seattle.! Safe travels!!!
@@Seareader this is so refreshing, thank you. Driving into the city is painful, thankfully the Link has been so easy to ride.
Great stuff! Maybe I should move to Seattle! You’ve convinced me 👍🏽
I’ll see you when you get here
