You're so right that one video can get you monetised. Thankfully I got monetised on a topic that I enjoyed making anyway. Best of luck on the rest of your UA-cam journey 😀
That sounds great 🙌🏻 I felt that in the beginning I had so many interests and it almost left me paralyzed not knowing which one to create videos on. But it gets clearer as you go and just keep on creating. All the best for your journey too :) !
Thank you for sharing, Sonya. I’m about to start. Still doing some preparation and gaging my motivation:) no experience in editing and that’s what I dread the most. All the best on your journey!
That's great, don't overthink it - just take the first step. It rarely is pretty, but it's movement ♡ Editing, perfecting your thumbnails, it will all come as you progress. But that's exactly what it's called - progress. You won't be ready after the first step, but you won't be in the same place you started at either. All the best ❤ "We cannot solve problems with the same mindset that created them." - Einstein
That's awesomee. The first step. Then just look deeper into learning more about thumbnails (so your audience will click on your video), and overall structure of a video (intro, middle part and ending). 4 x 4 method is great for content creation!
Do you think its beneficial to be very specific in the content you produce, or do you feel like a channel can put out vastly different content and grow steadily? I appreciate this video and your transparency with all that you have been through!
I feel it's possible, but in the beginning for me personally it felt like UA-cam was unable to categorize me correctly (of course my own impatience affected this and I created videos not specifically focusing only on one subject). If I would've started with Etsy videos and then switched permanently to another topic, then yes, but I kept jumping through topics and this was affecting views and how much UA-cam pushes your videos. So decide on 3 main interests you have, and then try to link them together somehow (mine was first small business, Etsy and entrepreneurship - then I changed more to artistic practice, spirituality and mindset development). You can still keep it broad and see what seems interesting to your audience, but try to stick to a certain type of content so you can perfect it. I tried to do vlogs but noticed that felt actually harder for me than just talking to the camera. Hope this helps :)
I have a very (very) small channel and I try really hard to keep it that way, i upload when I want and what I want and have a small but very loyal following 😁YT doesn't even know I exist
Yep, it feels that if you want to grow, there needs to be consistent posting and if one is not able (nor wants to) do so, the channel is able to create a smaller community. Smaller channels feels way more intimate too! Started to realize that it's not about the amount of followers, but the connection you have with them - it also helps with being authentic to that community.
772 subscribers but averaging 200 views? Very loyal indeed. Fact is: Many subscribe and hardly ever watch a video again or just lose interest without deleting the subscription.
@@wHOcARESvIDEOS That's interesting. Are those viewers all coming from your subscribers or from search /suggested ? Yes, and the topic does play a role in the content being evergreen. If the topics are only relevant to a certain season or tied to an event, their lifespan is shorter of course.
@@sonyamantere To be honest I couldn`t give you an informed amswer. I`ve only noticed that the amount of subscribers mustn`t correlate with the amount of views a specific (= understandable) video or the average views per video of a channel has.
Thanks for watching 💖 Let me know your thoughts on UA-cam monetization or if you have questions about getting monetized as a small UA-camr ♡
Really appreciate the transparency!! Wishing you continual success on your channel 😃
great insight
