- Streamer Rich Campbell, one of the founding members of OTK, has been accused of sexual assault.
The disturbing allegation was made by streamer Azalia Lexi, who says the two had an off-and-on relationship before the incident in 2021.
Now, Rich has left OTK at the org’s request and said that he’ll offer his version of events soon. And his accuser says she’s received disturbing threats.

Asmongold single handedly carrying OTK. I don't always agree with his opinions but in moments like these he shows time and time again how emotionally mature he really is, and that's something I respect a ton about him.
Yeah I used to really strongly dislike the community he had and how he acted in general, I can't even remember why exactly because it's been some time lol. But honestly I really respect the man now, he seems so much more mature than most of society these days and it's a breath of fresh air

Not to mention the weird Rich clips of him acting like a total jackass in front of female casters and streamers... no red flags at all. Asmongold did what any sane person would do and distanced the company he worked on from the drama and the person associated with it. If Rich is innocent people will support him..including his friends.

Crazy that gaming houses are turning into something really negative... I used to really dream of living in a house like that but now it feels like a drama spawner.
Honestly stuff like that should just be summer and winter holiday houses. Then throughout the year, people have their personal space, and can defuse rather than having tensions build up constantly
It's a lot like working at a game store. It sounds like a dream on the surface but the reality of it is way worst. Speaking from experience on that one too.
Otk is not gaming house though, its basically a group of individual streamer merging together to make shows, products (merchandise), business together. They're a company at this point
AOV Pro Player from Nepal here. No, not every "gaming house"(we call it bootcamp/training facility here has drama. Most of the top esports orgs bootcamps/training facilities are literally like an office with work, meeting and dining rooms. Everything is done super professionally. You can't expect "Professional Streamers" to have professionality in "Gaming Houses". Its not like they literally have a company to run like professional orgs and CEOs to cater to the investors/stakeholders/sponsors. Never ever generalize in anything.

that is the only evidence. Just texts saying that she did feel uncomfortable, but nothing about her texting him saying he was an asshole and he raped her or anything after. Just the stuff about them hanging out. Then a couple days later and a long ass tweet about it.

In a court of law, you need evidence to support your claim. In a court of public opinion, you need only make an accusation.

I remember the old days like during the Echo Fox stuff, and I realize its likely not a valid business strategy for youtube, I would love to see more long form videos or series of videos like those, especially over something like the recent Smash/Panda Cup controversy

@@ihrstan He decided to resign because it makes OTK look bad either way. So it was a decision on both sides. Rich isn't stupid so he knows how this looks, and when he is good and ready he will say something on it. He is probably gathering his own evidence and talking with a lawyer, which is probably telling him to say nothing until they can either have the accuser self destruct with their lies, (if it is lies) or until they are good and ready for an apology and will turn themselves in. OR until they can disprove it. Just because someone felt regret after having sex, it doesn't mean it is rape. And if it is rape then the rest will be handled by the law.

They all worked super hard for this, and there are many people who want to see them fail because a lot of people hate asmongold. But he is untouchable because...well he doesn't go outside like at all. So People will go after his weaknesses. His socialable (sort of) friends. The awkward nerds who can get women because of their money, but they can't deal with situations like this and can easily be manipulated. Or accused of things. It happens a lot in the gaming world. And Girl streamers are the most manipulative of all the women I have dealt with. That's not saying that this didn't happen, but Always take this shit with a grain of salt. Until the people whoi are equipped to deal with situations like these can gather the evidence and present an actual case you should never be on either side. Sure you can always support either one through their struggle with this. And if it didn't happen then you supported the wrong person, or if it did happen you supported the wrong person. But you supported someone because you believed in them. So believe who you want, but NEVER discredit or ostracize the other party until you have concrete evidence of the other's wrongdoing.
Unless this is bring up to court, why even bother with either sides when they both can say whatever they want.

Exactly, it's like, oh since she is a girl, lets throw Rich under the bus without even hearing his side. I'm not calling the girl a liar at all, but we can't jump to conclusions from one sided story, especially without ANY evidence..... This modern age of burn first and have a trial later, is getting way out of hand. People really believe what they are told without actually debating it anymore, and it's getting quite scary. Like we saw this with Pro- Jared. Everyone came out and burned the poor guy to the ground and it turns out he did nothing wrong when he revealed his side of the story WITH the evidence.... For all we know, Rich and this girl could've had an argument, or falling out, and there is MUCH more going on than we even considered.
yeah. Any one of us can say someone sexually assaulted us. That's why they are allegations BUT they are still very, very destructive and could literally ruin someones life.

@@skywillfindyou Asmon explicitly said he knew more information from what OTK learned after the story came out. Rich also said he'd tell his side but he didn't deny any claims. There are many cases where it's important to wait for more information before acting but this is not one of those. Asmon feels very strongly about being reasonable until you can see the big picture. When even he's not defending someone he's been friends with for years that pretty much means the situation is close to concrete. When stuff happened with Mizkif the treatment of it was extremely different.
@@skywillfindyou Rich was not just a streamer but partly an owner in the organization. The organization could lose sponsorships if one of it's owners is facing these accusation. As far as I know Zack can't "fire the guy" but the several other owners can collectively ask Rich to step down before seeking other methods.
That's one of the least surprising news regarding streames I have ever seen.

It would have been much simpler if she " had" taken it to court.....probably 0 physical evidence beyond the texts.....not saying she is lying....but its way to long ago for physical evidence.....unfortunately he would need to prove the opposite if he wants to ever go back to streaming
The more you hear about OTK, the more it sounds like a spin off series from 'Promising young woman'
It's a bit odd when it's currently just allegations and yet everyone jumps to immediately cannibalise their friend in exchange for clickbait. I found it very strange when Asmongold talked about not taking one side automatically while simultaneously taking the side of the accuser by disassociating himself with his friend.
Perhaps rich just come clean to him. thing is if one of the closest friend drop him so fast, there might be some truth to it.
Rich was dropped from the org, it doesn't mean he no longer associates with him or considers him a friend. Twitch is a business, and for Asmon and the other members of OTK, said organization is an extension of that business.
Rich remaining in that organization would've been horrible for business. The closest thing Asmon did to "disassociating with Rich" and "taking a side" is telling the people that are ridiculing the accuser that they're not doing him any favors or on his side.
He handled it like any responsible adult would, and it shouldn't be that surprising.

From a business standpoint it's not good to be associated with those kind of allegations. If she does turn out to be lying, which to be clear, is an extremely small amount of rape allegations then he is welcome to rejoin OTK. Always believe the victim. They genuinely have no reason to lie about this shit. If they do they are horrible human beings who are contributing to this exact problem where there is always skepticism when someone publicly comes out about being raped.

@@AdogFTW 3 other guys, actually. One was Mizkif and CrazySlick for covering up an alledged ( to date) sexual assault and ItsSliker for scamming viewers for thousands of dollars. The sexual assault cases still be proven The scam was proven, but the money were refunded and no charges were pressed.
I’ve always thought rich was incredibly sus and wasn’t surprised in the slightest when I first saw the allegations, but after reading the victim’s story there are a few things that don’t add up to me. Why even put yourself in that situation if you say yourself you don’t trust him not to do something creepy? I’m interested to see both sides.

don't confuse the legal principle with the moral principle. Legally NO ONE can be called " criminal" untill a judge passes a sentence and that's the law too. Morally anyone can look at the situation and decide to dissociate from the accused person, in particular if there's business involved. The 2 priciple are separate from each other, no one is obligated to remain associated with anyone, regardless the ruling of a judge.

How is it too early? This video is already very late. Rich said he'd give his side and that was 8 days ago. That's already pretty weird. Don't get me wrong I'm sick of fake accusations too but this seems like its already wrapped up. Rich was always creepy and incredibly awkward. He was immediately asked to resign, that right there is almost a confirmation that it's true. The likelihood is he spoke to Asmongold and either confessed, or denied it and Asmon could tell he was lying. If it wasn't true and he intended to take legal action he would likely have been placed on leave at the most.
I wanted to think Rich was ok since he was friends with Asmon apparently. But when he'd do that maniacal laugh thing while playing FF14 he just seemed so weird and creepy and not in a funny way

I understand the world we live it where we are conditioned to just believe what victims say but this is happening everywhere in the scene and I feel it is unfair on both parties for thos to be reported on without statements or evidence from both sides or am I the only one who feels the world has shifted from innocent till proven guilty to just straight guilty on accusations I hope for all involved for the issues to be resolved but speculation and 1 sided reports on these issues just seem to sensationalise the issue at hand I feel it just makes things worse for all parties irrelevant of the outcome

What confuses me about the situation is what's going to happen. At the minute, it is only an allegation, but as we all know, an allegation nowadays is automatically a guilty sentence in the eyes of the public. People should remain neutral until an investigation is complete. If the appropriate authorities aren't involved, then the truth will never come out, and Rich (if innocent) will live the rest of his life knowing that everyone thinks he is a monster, whether it is true or not. Let's all remember the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard trial and that if it didn't happen, an overwhelming majority would still believe Amber Heard over Johnny Depp, but with the Rich-Azali situation, there is no trial, no case, no police, no investigation, and no justice for either side. If OTK has more information, they should really let the public know - considering Azali is getting literal death threats, and Rich is an ex-drug user and could be in a dark place knowing that his life and career are over, regardless of guilt or innocence.
OTK is in no position to reveal whatever they discussed privately, it is up to Rich and how he decides to handle the situation. There's not gonna be a trial nor police involvement this happened a year ago. All we can do is wait for his respond and make our own judgement from there

He can only explain his version of events, which will never be enough to clear his name. It is unfair that Rich needs evidence to disprove these allegations, or his life is over, but Azali doesn't need evidence to accuse. To publically accuse someone of SA without any evidence and with no intentions of bringing in a higher authority sets a dangerous precedent. If the police aren't involved, then OTK needs to act as that higher authority; otherwise, the court of public opinion will, which won't end well because most people have already accepted that Rich is guilty even before hearing his response.

If the accusation is true OTK can't act as higher authority and disclose whatever was discussed privately. It's not their story to tell, it's Rich's. They can't put out a statement and say, "Yea he confess to us, he's a r*pist that's why we asked him to resign".

And since it is purely an accusation with no evidence or higher authority, he shouldn't even have to respond, but not responding makes him look guilty. It is a lose-lose situation for him, and telling the truth isn't that simple when you have to remember everything about a specific night more than a year ago. It isn't up to anyone to tell the story because there is no story without evidence to back up their version of events. It is a game of he-said-she-said without a referee. Unless Rich has hard evidence (which I highly doubt), he is guilty regardless, and that's the problem.

If it was false, say it "Her version of the story was false, here's what happened" or whatever. If it was True, own up to it and apologize. The burden of proof is on Azalia to prove, to some degree, that her claims have any merit. If she doesn't, it's a clear indicator that she had lied believing the bandwagon effect would be all she needed to cancel Rich and get her 15 minutes of fame. Of course, it's not clear that is the case yet, so time to wait.
For now the only facts are that time and locations have written proof, and we have proof of the pressure the guy kept doing. The only part yet to be proven is the alledged crime.
@@RejectedInch Actually, there hasn't been any proof, I've seen at least, of Rich pressuring Azalia (into anything nefarious) nor of the toxic relationship Azalia claims they had. The texts directly call those claims into question.
The Uber receipt she showed really doesn't corroborate much of anything. Even the texts themselves aren't that credible nor substantive. Hopefully she shows more or Rich spills stuff in his end which will make this picture clearer.
Just try to keep in mind - this happened before OTK even formed. It's easy for us to look at a group of people and cast a net, but there's some really nice & good people in that community and it seems to me, they're doing what they should be doing to deal with this situation in the correct way. I can't imagine what it would be like, to find out that one of my boys in my immediate group of friends had done something like this. I know the rest of us would likely give him a free trip to the hospital, but i can't imagine the feeling of betrayal knowing someone i considered a friend was capable of being such a cockroach.
