Been making these yarn pompom hats for years but never thought to add a yarn beard and nose! So cute. If you stuff all the hat strings back thru the paper ring circle before you tie them up into a pompom, it gives a more realistic hat brim look to it.
Oh sorry, yes! I usually start off with about 10-12" lengths of the yarn in order to have enough space to be able to comfortably tie off the ends and pompom them after pushing them thru the ring.@amethystanne4586
As a "Pear Shaped" woman there are many times I want to make a vest/sweater but ALWAYS MUST adjust the taper between my hips and my smaller bust. I like the Moss Stitch, but how can I decrease a row of this stitch? If you don't know how, than I don't know who would. You seem very knowledgeable in crochet.
Whatever you are comfortable with. There have been numerous studies shown that there are more pathogens like ecoli, salmonella, shigella, etc. located in the kitchen due to raw meats and unwashed vegetables than in bathrooms and even on toilet seats!
Cute craft! But please know that it will take approximately 35 yards of worsted weight yarn - not the 10 yards that Donna says in the video. Following these instructions, the beard requires about 21 yards of white yarn and the cap requires about 14 yards. Easy to make though!
Yeah, this seems like more of a darn hassle than changing col9r, I am a really tight crocheted, but I HAAAATE RIPPIN OUT! IDK... ALSO I AM NOT a fan of red heart yarn. I buy any other brand of yarn before I resort to red❤
All those rip-outs really helps us see things ascthey really are with that yarn. Thank you. ❤
Super easy and CUTE!! Nice way to use up yarn and give a little something...to adults for a fun !!

Would it be good to have the red yarn strands be longer [4.5” + (5/8” x 2)]to allow for the tucking back through the ring?

Amazon sells tp rolls to use for crafts. Maybe Hobby Lobby or Michael’s have them too. Just a thought 😊
About how big are the gnomes? They are soo cute! 😊
Thank you! About 4 inches by 4 inches or 10 cm x 10 cm.
