The MDA Labor Day Telethon was an enchanting yearly variety show that ran for half a century. Hosted for many years by Jerry Lewis, the telethon featured top stars from the world of music, comedy, and Broadway and was like no other show on earth.

When Vanity wore this dress a year later it was altered to be shorter on right side & go higher up. Looked better on Vanity.
She should have been dressed like Cheri Currie from the Runaways for all of her passion for singing this dopey song.
She was much more real than most of those "variety show" performers from that time.
The session musicians actually loved it though because she was having fun & giving it her all.
