Thanks bro, it was not easy dude! But then I thought I might as well just get it over with... it'll take some time for me to get more comfortable, but I'm getting there :)
How are you guys focusing with this camera? I get so many out of focus shots compared to other point and shoots. Especially when i shoot people. Should i stop putting the crosshairs on the eyes and maybe aim for the shirt or a more contrasty spot?? Since it is 2.8 or slower i know if don't need to focus on face but i think it is habit. Any advice?
Hi Charlii and thanks for your comment! I've always had issues with the focus of the Mju ii, even if I'm concentrating hard on prefocusing... no idea why it's like that. Sometimes it just nails it perfectly and other times (in seemingly easy focusing situations) it misses super badly... maybe aiming for the shirt is not a bad idea, if the light is decent and the camera can stop down to 5.6 or 8, the eyes should be in focus as well. One thing that I have noticed is if I go as close as possible, the focus seems to be pretty consistent. If you're too close, the green light starts blinking, just back up a bit, focus again until it stays green. Hope that helps, V
@@valentinsfotoparadies8708 appreciate the response! I’ll keep playing around with it. I’m trying to analyze my scans more and see where it hits and where it consistently misses so I can avoid wasting film if the camera isn’t good in certain situations
@@charliipresley that's always a good idea :) That's why I only take the Mju ii out when it's super bright and sunny. That's when I get the best results.
Thanks for your feedback! I also have a Mju 1 and I feel like the Mju ii is even worse at this problem... as I said in the video, I mostly use it when it's super bright and sunny, otherwise, I'll get too disappointed with the results lol.
I read an article about these cameras not being made to last long but it seems in your experience it has. Any thoughts on it's mechanical reliability? I don't want to have to buy another one every year.
Hey there and thanks for your comment. My mju ii has been working well for the last 3 years and has never had any issues. I got it from my grandmother who had not used it much, maybe that's why. I have seen a bunch of broken Mju ii online though. That being said, it's not necessarily a bad thing, because that means that there are plenty of spare parts around, if you need some to get yours fixed. Regarding your second question, the comparison between the mju ii and the autoboy luna is not really fruitful because they are pretty different. One is a prime lens camera with a fast aperture whereas the other one is a zoom camera. So the question is rather, do you wanna have a zoom or rather a faster lens? All the best, V
A great comprehensive video congrats man🎉 I am looking forward for the new videos!
Thank you Huseyin! Really appreciate the support my man!
Great video my man. It suits you beeing in front of the camera

Such a well summed up review! I’d love to see more of the shooting process ✨
Thank you Nat! Much appreciated

I’ve also noticed with the mju 1, the missed focus when it’s not very sunny. Other than that these mju cameras would be perfect

Also any thoughts on the canon autoboy luna and how the mju ii compares? Thanks.
