Is Hartwell predominantly spots like Lake Russell right below it? I fish Murray, Clark's hill alot & Russell on occasion. I'd much rather catch largemouth then striper than spots. All the spots in Russel & Clark's hill are small from what I've caught last couple years sense I moved down here. If the spots around here got big I would like going after them, 99% are 1-2 pounders. Biggest spot I've caught so far was only 3.8 from Clark's Hill. My biggest largemouth sense the move was 11.4
50-50 spots and largemouth on hartwell! You can definitely get in areas and target specific species! Fishes a lot like Murray though!
