If you get a 2 UP with the IBR you get the 90 hp version of this engine. You get it upped to 110 to 117 hp with the right tweak. You can also take the 2UP buy the rear extension part that is on the 3 UP and make the 2 UP a 3 UP. You also need the sticker that indicates can hold 3 ppl and the 3 person seat. Simple.
thats what i was a bout to point out, the 60 to 90 from base too trixx the engine doesnt matter, they are the same but getting ibr with vts plus different modes stock make the trixx a better option, hand in hand it cost less and the user doesnt have to deal with all the mods to get the more hp, get ibr and get vts the stock 60 hp spark is worthless, 90 hp, ibr and vts is the game changer, thumbs down on this video for making ppl think the hp is the only difference
Thanks dude this was an excellent explanation. I already was aware of this but you explained it much better! I'm currently shopping for my first Spark (first jet ski period actually) and am trying to decide which way to go. If price wasn't a factor I'd just buy a brand new 3up trixx. But that's not the case lol. I'm considering buying a lower featured 3up (2017 or newer so it supports extended VTS) for a much lower price, and then installing the improvements myself and saving money in the process. I'm sure I'll end up tuning it as well and most likely buying a map tuner juuuuust in case lol.
If you tune to the 110 hp Is there still 2 options of touring and sport Can you tune to 110 hp for sport mode And still have the lower performance mode for other riders
whats the difference between the 230 and 300 hp engines? are they the same and can you tune the 230 to 300 like how you can tune the 60 to 90 and beyond on the spark. also are they the same engines as these in the spark? And is it possible to tune a spark engine to 230 or 300 hp? And are the supercharged motors the same as the regular 130 or 170?
I would imagine HO just means 'High Output'.. (software) The motors are identical. It's a little cheeky violating the warranty if you remap a 60hp to 90hp. Do they offer a lesser warranty on the HO models? Doubt it.
I just bought a 2020 spark 60hp I want to tune to 110hp. I've been looking everywhere on line and can't find a link. I live in San Jose California. Could you help me out please.
I did mine at race labs. $250.00 I just sent themthe gauge and pcm. Got it back exactly in 10 days. Now I have sport and touring mode. Hits around 51 mph. Way faster on the take off.....
Great info but the question id have is in a car most mfg can tell if you have flashed the computer even if you return it back to stock. So use caution Sea Doo may have the same ability.
@@andrewr.figueroa3784 it means "intelligent Braking and Reverse System.. The question is do you want Braking and Reverse Capabilities? If so then you would want a ski with iBR :)
@mike h It says the IBR is"Braking & Reverse" but it is actually 3 things because included is also neutral.......So out of those three things to me the one I want the most is neutral and then reverse and braking is irrelevant.
Hey, I caught Maitland in that craigslist ad. I'm in orlando myself. Got any dealership recommendations? End of summer deals lookin real good. Thinking about getting 2 60 HP sparks.
Im new to the sea doo world and want to grab 2 I’m a pretty big guy 6’3 300 pounds and like the spark but what’s the different between 2020 pw spark 2up 900 brp 20 which is on sale 4600 vs the 3up which is 1000 bucks more or a 2019 pw spark2 900ho trixx?? Is it just the hp?
same HP (if it's the 900 HO) just different options really. the 900 ACE is 60 HP (detuned) just a different type of ski! 3 up is a little bigger, little more stable. the 2 up is a bit more for tricks. trixx has high trim / IBR options and reverse. all depends on what you can afford. I highly recommend riding some skis and seeing what you like best! took me a while to find the right ones
We Try Motorsports thanks a lot man, yeah maybe out of these options the 3 up sounds like my better fit but definitely will ride some skis before I make my choice. As far as the hp Knowing me for sure gonna tune it and I know there is a option for e85 and that’s my plan. Thank a lot
For how long can you be riding in the top speed whithout blowing the motor? 8000 rpm is pretty damn much. And lets say i get the 110 tune it Will rew even moore 😳

Anyways, thanks again, love your videos, and hope to be cruising my local lakes soon!
Is it worth the cost savings if it voids your warranty
its meeeeeeeeeeeeeee yes because if you blow your engine you can just un tune it
If you tune to the 110 hp
Is there still 2 options of touring and sport
Can you tune to 110 hp for sport mode
And still have the lower performance mode for other riders
you again, best content on youtube man! Thanks for making this for us all!

I would like to know what was the company your saying does the tuning on this
lots of random people do locally and some do it maill in for $225 like ebay user RaceLab performance, and $250 SilberTurbos
so the 60hp will have the same towing power and acceleration up to a certain speed/rpm as the 90hp?
right, with only a tune

I can almost gaurantee they have a similar warranty. These companies are con artists
wow, what awesome info
thank you
i dont have one but still

Does the spark have the same trim adjustments that makes the ski do wheelies? I know it doesn’t have the extending handle bars or foot rests.
You can purchase a normal spark with VTS but not extendable VTS. there are aftermarket options as well, but entirely what you want to do
Very informative video - thanks so much.
60hp is not sold with IBR, so if you want IBR (and VTS) you have to buy the 90hp.
This is correct, I outlined this on other videos too! Good eye
What’s IBR? How important is it for performance?
@@andrewr.figueroa3784 it means "intelligent Braking and Reverse System.. The question is do you want Braking and Reverse Capabilities? If so then you would want a ski with iBR :)
@mike h lol how is not having a feature like braking or slowing down/reversing better than not having it?

Can you ride 3 people on your Spark 60 2 up, two adults and one child?
No not at all - One Adult & 1 Child at most
So how do I return it to stock tune? Do I have to pay again to return it to a stock tune.
Most likely, unless you have the Riva Maptuner.

What if I can’t do or don’t want to do a tune, is it worth paying extra for 90 hp
Yes! If you can't or won't do the tune, definitely get the 90hp version. Leaving spark ACE at 60hp is tragic.
We Try Motorsports haha ok
Short version.... engine is same in 60 and 90. Can simply buy a tune to up hp but voids warranty.
Doesn't void warranty if you tune it back - I have brought it back to the dealer multiple times after returning. But other than that - yeah
@@WeTryMotorsports How'd you get it retuned afterwards?
@@vq.krisss Riva Maptuner X. Buy one, tune and de-tune all you want
Same as evinrude 150 and 175... The same engine with different tune..
You keep saying water gets into the hole? What hole?
Hull, it's the body of the ski
For how long can you be riding in the top speed whithout blowing the motor? 8000 rpm is pretty damn much. And lets say i get the 110 tune it Will rew even moore 😳
8000 is what the bigger option limits at you can go full throttle for ages but I’m not sure with the tune
On a 90 hp, regular runs at 60 go, and sport mode runs the 90hp map. Top speed is the same. Acceleration is only difference.
False it is 90hp at all times just accelerating is effected
👏👏👍👌🇳🇴
