- We do not know the precise time period Psalm 25 came from; David was so often in trouble that it could have been from several different points.
It is a wonderful display of the heart of a well-taught believer in a season of crisis.

I cannot find the right
words to express how badly I’ve needed the reassurance that Jesus truly has so much loving kindness for me. It’s so easy to let the cares of our earthly life get bogged down that I’ve felt my hope and faith receding into a place where I was trapped. I’m making a renewed effort to look toward God, to remembering the sacrifice Jesus made for me and putting my trust completely in His care. I knew satan was dragging me down and it’s a terrible place to be. Thanks be to our Lord Jesus Christ for the Holy Scriptures and also for the work of Enduring Word that freely gives me access to the strength, support and encouragement available through all the dedicated work you do in God’s name.
Carole,
We are so happy that you are seeking God more deliberately. You won't be disappointed.
We are glad that you found Enduring Word, and we pray that God will draw you ever closer.
Being humble and not prideful is mentioned so many times throughout the old and new testaments. Seems like that's a pretty important message to take away and to work on. Thank you Pastor David.

I remember that one and singing the echo. When reading through the psalms, I often hear songs. We sang Ps 25 at my grammas little Pennsylvania church. ThanxS for the memory, being in my mid 60's, its a sweet one.
Praise God and thank You, Jesus! Thank you David for your generous heart giving your time in unlocking the mysteries of the word of God and sharing it with us. For using the gift of speaking for us to know the heart of God.

Temptations are many all of them lead to turning my back to the LORD, ,yet his guidance and reliance on his scripture, always lead to salvation.

Reading through a Psalm each day (with you!) Today 25 was so God sent/spoken (with your help) as I'm in the depths, (failed court case yesterday, no home no hope) BUT I declare, I DO, I WILL, put my trust, hope, in the LORD (Yahweh, covenant God). v20/21.Thank you for 'reminding' me.
**How do I/we wait on the Lord? Spiritually and practically, please.**
V32, looking out to others (by God's grace and loving kindness) as David did, and praying for you, that God keeps you (especially in your difficult times) in mind, spirit and soul, and protects you and your work from the evil one.
Thank you fir teaching
Thank you so much
This is my favorite Psalm!!!
Why? I ask because I've recently found it as I'm enduring being hated and back bitten. This psalm (as others) is very intense and specific to praying for protection from people who wish evil on you. It (as other psalms as well) wouldn't make sense unless I'd had the experience of being hated so severely.
I just think it is a very beautiful Prayer because it covers a lot of the things we need to say to the lord and to request of the lord as far as the enemies It speaks of I consider them to be the evil ones who want to rob us. Of our salvation, because, we all have many, many of them. Even though we can't see them, they are always there and they're always doing anything else and we need help. To battle them, it is also a great psalm. In acknowledging or sins and asking, God forgive and to help us and to rescue us. I just believe the covers a lot of things and the first time I read it. I connected with it. I also connect with psalm 38. Because I have a lot of Arthritis pain in my bones. That is also a beautiful so
Aman.
But isn't pride a sin, so yes our sin becomes a barrier,,,,
Amen
qavah might be understood not just as waiting (in the waiting room) or waiting (the waiter in the restaurant) but in binding together or cords. Am I off base? Is there something I have missed?
Hello Pastor hope you're doing well. My question: it looks to me that David was a prophet. Would he be considered one by your standards? Ty
