Let me share the dream I dreamed last January 10, 2018. In my dream, I saw in my spirit a vision of a written word and numerals that reads: "Psalm 27". I will keep vs 14 in my top inspiration and instruction list of verses thanks to your explanations...and I really did feel like David was speaking to me through your message. Well Done, I will be able to better share with my congregation. Pastor Mike

*I Shall Not Fear* *A Steadfast Experience* ¹ The Lord is my light and my Salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? *-Psalm 27:1* Those who are finally victorious will have seasons of terrible perplexity and trial in their religious life; but they must not cast away their confidence, for this is a part of their discipline in the school of Christ, and it is essential in order that all dross may be purged away. The servant of God must endure with fortitude the attacks of the enemy, his grievous taunts, and must overcome the obstacles which Satan will place in his way. Satan will seek to discourage the followers of Christ, so that they may not pray or study the Scriptures, and he will throw his hateful shadow athwart the path to hide Jesus from the view, to shut away the vision of His love, and the glories of the heavenly inheritance. It is his delight to cause the children of God to go shrinkingly, tremblingly, and painfully along, under continual doubt. He seeks to make the pathway as sorrowful as possible; but if you keep looking up, not down at your difficulties, you will not faint in the way, you will soon see Jesus reaching His hand to help you, and you will only have to give Him your hand in simple confidence, and let Him lead you.... Jesus is the light of the world, and you are to fashion your life after His. You will find help in Christ to form a strong, symmetrical, beautiful character. Satan cannot make of none effect the light shining forth from such a character. The Lord has a work for each of us to do. He does not provide that we shall be sustained by the influence of human praise and petting; He means that every soul shall stand in the strength of the Lord.

*Love for God Leads Us to Security in Him* ³ Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. *-Psalm 27:3* You should be willing for all to know that you are not your own but His who bought you with an infinite price, and that you are not only bound but are determined to glorify Him in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. May the love of so great magnitude constrain you to confess Christ not only with the mouth but with the life, to bear fruit to the glory of God. We are passing through an enemy's land. Foes are upon every side to hinder our advancement. They hate God and all who follow after Him and bear His name. But those who are our enemies are the Lord's enemies, and although they are strong and artful, yet the Captain of our salvation who leadeth us can vanquish them. As the sun disperses the clouds from its path, so will the Sun of Righteousness remove the obstacles to our progress. We may cheer our souls by looking at the things unseen that will cheer and animate us in our journey. We may indeed say, *“Thy presence is our security, our treasure, our glory, our joy.”* ... Do we pray that Christ will go where we go and dwell where we dwell? If we can live without Christ in this world, He will live without us in the better world. But if we cling to Him by living faith, saying with Jacob, *“I will not let thee go”;* if we entreat, *"Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me,”* the promise is to us *“I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”* We cannot afford to live in neglect of the great salvation offered to us upon such liberal terms. The knowledge of the claims of God as our Father will keep us from offending Him. This will make us anxious to please Him. As His children we must walk in the light, walk worthy of God, who hath called us unto glory and His immortal kingdom. We have read an account of a noble prince who carried the picture of his father always near his heart, and on important occasions, when there was danger of forgetting him, he would take out the likeness and view it, and say, *“Let me do nothing unbecoming so excellent a father.”* God has claims upon us as Christians that we should never, never lose sight of for a moment. God's people are called a crown, a diadem. Satan would eagerly seize the Lord's treasure, but God has secured it so that Satan cannot obtain it.... We are secure, perfectly secure, from the enemy's subtlety while we have unwavering trust in God.
Speaking on behalf of the divisions bteaks in psalms 27 ( and others ) As a singer & songwriter shifts are nothing new in psalms "songs". These shifts to a songwriter and anyone familiar with poetry it's called nuances. It's the changing or the shifting in the mood or Focus. Usually people who are not familiar with a culture or a style or a form usually make great errors in observation. especially, when it comes to psalms 27 for example.. thinking that they were 3 songs stitched together. People should be very familar with nuances/shifts in music & lyrics even in Western music.
There’s a verse somewhere I can’t find it that says something like ‘who can strive with God, it is better to strive with man’ or something like that.. perhaps that’s what pope was saying there, the more quotes I read of spurgeon however the more to me he seems a pompous ass
Luke 13:1-5 New Living Translation A Call to Repentance 13 About this time Jesus was informed that Pilate had murdered some people from Galilee as they were offering sacrifices at the Temple. 2 “Do you think those Galileans were worse sinners than all the other people from Galilee?” Jesus asked. “Is that why they suffered? 3 Not at all! And you will perish, too, unless you repent of your sins and turn to God. 4 And what about the eighteen people who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them? Were they the worst sinners in Jerusalem? 5 No, and I tell you again that unless you repent, you will perish, too.”
God gave me this morning at a very crucial time.

*I Shall Not Fear*
*A Steadfast Experience*
¹ The Lord is my light and my Salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
*-Psalm 27:1*
Those who are finally victorious will have seasons of terrible perplexity and trial in their religious life; but they must not cast away their confidence, for this is a part of their discipline in the school of Christ, and it is essential in order that all dross may be purged away.

*Love for God Leads Us to Security in Him*

You should be willing for all to know that you are not your own but His who bought you with an infinite price, and that you are not only bound but are determined to glorify Him in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
But if we cling to Him by living faith, saying with Jacob, *“I will not let thee go”;* if we entreat, *"Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me,”* the promise is to us *“I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”*
We cannot afford to live in neglect of the great salvation offered to us upon such liberal terms.
I need a blessing please help
Verse 14. If you wait on the Lord , He will strengthen your heart. A truly great blessing.

New Living Translation
A Call to Repentance
13 About this time Jesus was informed that Pilate had murdered some people from Galilee as they were offering sacrifices at the Temple.
