Good going Krissy and Adrian. Keep after it. There are surely more there. It’s a balancing act as to what to break loose with the pneumatic hammer and what not to. Great video as always!
Another great day. It's better than being stuck in a office. Was talking to a old bloke just the other day, who now lives a comfortable life after a few big finds. He got frustrated with the slow going of swinging low and slow. He said he bought a huge coil and just walked from point A to point B swinging madly. Said he used to cover way more ground, and when he got a target, it was usually a big one. He found a few good reefs using that method and his first big hit scored more than he had found in years of searching.
Remember to put chizzl paste in that hammer end every hour. I've been around them quite a bit and they needs that paste regularly. Awsome hunting my friends thanks for sharing
That has got to be super exciting Krissy, you could hit a rich chunk of reef anytime and you even have the equipment there to hammer it out! Great job!
Awesome - still getting the gold !! I am so happy for you Krissy, You have worked so hard and then persevered in spite of hot rocks and metal chunks. I think you deserve every ounce that you find. I have a feeling you are due for another ounce + nugget !! Good on ya !!! Cheers !!!!
Seven strikes Seven nuggets they all add up , well done guys guess we will see you both next Sunday until then have a cracker of a week and stay safe :-)
Another great video, when you use larger machinery it makes the gold look smaller, I suppose that is because the cost of running that machinery gobbles up the gold. If you put little flags into the spots you find your nuggets in it will be easier for you to follow the gold and good for the utube people to see the line the gold follows, gridding is the way to go, it looks like you are in the right spot so keep up the good work and have a great few days. Just moved my backhoe from the mine area to where home is to put a new slew bearing in it then I will clean up around the outer edges of the van park, see you next week.
When I think of Gold Mine I think of getting big chunks of gold the size of your hand. It doesn't look like it is this type of Gold Mine, but keep on exploring. That 10 ouncer is out there, you lust need to find it. Ni-i-i-ice start! Gold fever!

Pretty stuff. I'm trying to figure out if that's a placer deposit. Out here we have caliche that the gold sits on although sometimes in some areas you can find the bigger gold just beneath it. It's a calcium carbonate and feels like concrete when you hit it. If it's a placer deposit is it alluvial or elluvial. It really doesn't seem to have a reason for being there. I find it facinateing.

Best choice for this application is a chromium carbide in the 50Rc range . Lots of people also go up to the next level 60Rc for blades but it will not take impacts very well . No need for a build up / buttering layer if you only need 1/4 "
