    Nice tips, also came up with most of these over the yrs. Just made a mobile umbrella hide set up.
    Used a golfing umbrella, two sections of a walking pole, a ground spike (fishermen brolly) and sewed a camo circular top with all around side skirt, zip entrance and 3 windows. Plus made storage / transport stuffsacks. Use it with a folding stool. Its height is easily adjusted, it could even be used with umbrella lying on ground.

    Interesting to see. But for me and my Olympus System, there are only two of the Items really interesting. I use a Walkstool and the Camo too. The other stuff, I don’t need with my Olympus, because of it‘s minimum weight and the imagestabilizer. But keep on doing such videos, they are very interesting. Thank you!

    How about a closed cell foam camping mat you can spread out for beach photography. Roll it up for transporting, it weighs practically nothing.

    Great tips. I just ordered the REI travel stool. I had already put the skimmer in my cart after doing some research, good to see I made the right decision. Love the camo with magnets.

      Hi Dan, the one I use and Mike Milicia recommends as well is from Kirk. However I believe RRS has one now as well. If you look below in the description (SHOW MORE) you will see a link Mike Milicia: Kirk quick release clamp
      kirkphoto.com/1-in-quick-release-clamp.html. You may want to contact Kirk and make sure that is the correct quick release to use with a Black Rapid. Hope this helps.

    Cheap alternative to the skimmer - drill a hole through the bottom of an old frying pan and remove the handle. Connect a ball head or gimbal with a 3/8 screw.

    • @ShawnCarey01
      @ShawnCarey01  3 роки тому

      I have heard of that as well and almost built one many years ago.

    seen people using old frying pans with a hole drilled in it for the beach stands

    • @silentrabbit247
      @silentrabbit247 3 роки тому +1

      Yes easy to make. After cutting off handle attachment point and Painting fry pan black or camo with enamel paint, I Used a manfrotto 234 tilt head and Lensmaster T1 gimbal on top for mounting camera. Some people drill hole in side for a Karabiner to attach to sack.
      (got a spare gimbal base, so just swop over the top part of gimbal from tripod).

    Un objeto más barato para esas tomas bajas en la arena es una sarten vieja al cual le acoplas un tornillo para colocar la rótula. El precio no sobrepasa los 5 €. Más barato imosible

      Translation: A cheaper item for those low shots in the arena is an old frying pan to which you attach a screw to attach the ball joint. The price does not exceed €5. cheaper imosible

      Yes I have heard this for many years, use an old frying pan it's a lot less expensive. Yet I've never seen anyone in the field actually using an old frying pan.
