- Shorebird photography is so much fun. It might be my favorite birds to photograph. So every year I just have to go to the coast when the shorebirds starts to migrate. My tips for this type of bird photography is to use a form of camouflage, and lay down low to get that eye level pictures. I use a atomos ninja v+ to show you my settings on the go.

I'm new here in Ireland having moved here from New Zealand last year so know my way around yet.
But next year we will have done our homework over this winter and we will be ready for them next time round.

I always start to giggle when taking pictures of plovers. When they looking straight into your camera they look super grumpy and when they rotating their head just a tiny bit they look uber cute.

I recently took a picture of a "Common sandpiper" and i spotted it the day before and it was really shy and flew away the second i walked. And the morning after i was lying in the sand waiting for something to show up and to my surprised it did, and it slowly but surely walked towards me and i got really nice shots. When you are still and relaxed, the animals are relaxed and can also become curious, and that is the key to taking nice shots. And i didn't even have to use a hide!
It helps laying down indeed :)

Hi! I record video of the birds with the Z9. I use 10 bit color in prores.
