    Lee, Re-glue all servos if you'd like to or secure them better. I lost my T2 as result to one of my aileron servo was barely hanging on to the wing. Not enough glue was used and only used on one side of the servo. Ben

    Interesting video as ever Lee, in particular the SpeedyBee Wing FC, an FC I 'm looking to fit in my AR-Pro Wing.
    But who would want to purchase the HeeWing T2 over the AtomRC Swordfish!!! Swordfish every time if I was in the market for a twin engined cruiser.

    • @scottyh72
      @scottyh72 10 місяців тому

      The swordfish is pretty efficient for a twin, but has a horrible thrust angle and in general just doesn't fly that well.

    This Flight controller does support sport connection (in 6.1.1). Enable softserial via configuration / enable CPU based serial ports. Set telemetry output to on. After re-booting, in ports the softserial port will appear, set the telemetry on this port to smart port. Use the TX2 (blue) wire from the FC to connect to the receiver sport. Works perfectly for me 1st time.

    Lee, As always you're videos are very informative. I have the same setup as yours Speedy bee F405 with a 4000MAH Li-Ion and AUW is 1851 Grams. I noticed that the control surfaces are too much. I used to add expo etc long time ago in Taranis for the throws. What do you recommend as far as the throws in MM and can I achieve it using INAV to limit the throws without affecting INAV flying mode PIFF configs. I noticed the T2 felt kind of heavy for the current setup and I had to provide plenty of throttle to keep it afloat. I've setup flaperons since I don't have the flap servos from heeding but haven't tried it yet. I'm more of a cruz flyer and don't any sport flying. I appreciate the help. Ben

    I have heard and read discussions on using the magnetometer on the GPS vs not using it since the Speedybee F405 already has one built in. What is your take on that? Can the GPS magnetometer confuse the FC magnetometer, especially during RTH? When I tried to set mine up, the initial model representation in INAV setup screen kept on revolving. When I deactivated the magnetometer, everything was back to normal. I haven't tried RTH on my build yet but eager to try soon. Just wanted to understand the magnetometer logic better before attempting.

      Depends on if you're talking about Ardupilot or INAV. A compass properly calibrated and positioned well away from interference is always the best option. If you haven't orientated the compass properly, odd things can happen, see my video on that. Happy flying

    Hi Lee. Excellent video. I have bought this flight controller as my first one. A question about flight modes, I’m going to use a crossfire tx on my Spektrum Ix20. Will all the mode switches show up from my ix20 when connected to inav?
    Probably a basic question but it’s all new to me
    Cheers

    Hi Lee! Thanks for another great video! I have recently built my first fpv using the same controller and a dji system. Regarding the connector you added for the vtx unit, I am thinking of adding a fan on top of some heatsink on the dji o3 to keep it cool while on the ground. However, I don’t see a lot of people doing that. I might be missing something here. Maybe it causes interference or maybe it’s only going to be useful on the ground and cause problems in the air? Could you please tell me your opinion on that? Cheers!

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  10 місяців тому

      I add a power connector to the HD system so I can power it before I fly. Well designed models allow for sufficient airflow to keep systems cool. With the poor airflow designed into the nose of the T2, they've opted to add a powered fan too... A very odd choice when do many others have done a great job of it with less room... See the AtomRC Pengin.. Happy flying

    Hi Lee. Another question as it’s my first FC build. Wire lengths between fc and esc and fc to battery ? I know normal electric set ups but being as it’s through an fc can they be longer ?

      I have only flown 700-800mm vtol wings on Ardupilot with 3-4cell batts so on a plane as big as the T2 converted into a Vtol, how much flight time should I expect to get taking off and landing in vtol mode with the Turnnigy 6s 6200mah batteries you have suggested??
      I really have no idea what to expect 🤷‍♂️

    My one complaint with the F405-Wing is that dam CRSF connection, every other one is a neat ph style plug and thry they go and shove that horrible connection on the top, other than that, it’s absolutely fantastic as a flight controller, I’ve got one in our “chaser wing” at the club.
