Thanks finally changed the oil filter after 3years and some months since buying the car 2006 gs430 still no major issues . Would change oil and leave filter for close to 4 years now because it was overt tightened
Hi Kenne, did your GS come with a washer for the drain plug? Mine doesn't have one but doesn't leak a single drop of oil. Changed the oil three times since getting my GS and didn't use a washer once. My GS was serviced by Lexus all its life and I don't think they forgot to put a washer on the drain plug.

You should prime the filter by putting oil in it to soak into the filter prior to install.
You don’t gotta do all that brotha it makes install more messy. Just lubricate it enough
Is this the correct way to change oil on gs430?
Mainly 3rd generation 3UZ-FE V8's. Might be different in the older 2003s etc
