Thank you for the great overview! Especially enjoyed hearing about the AMG Active Ride Control suspension and the difference it makes with ride quality. Personally I think Mercedes did an excellent job with revising the gas powered G models, addressing many of the shortcomings of the W463a/W464 series while keeping what people love about this vehicle. Thanks again for an excellent video.
Great vehicle but I disagree that it is dollar for dollar value. Big chunk of the money you pay here is towards the off-roading inclusions of this car. So if you want an off-roader that has a great on-road driving experience then you may have a case. Otherwise in this segment there are vehicles on par or even better than G Wagon in terms of driving experience and comfort for a lower price point such as Range Rover autobiography and RR SVR (which btw also have off-road capabilities), BMW X6M and X5M competition and X7 M60i, Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, that’s just to name a few. The price point of G Wagon is essentially getting into Rolls Royce Cullinan and Bentley Bentayga territory. Heck you could even buy a well-priced Lamborghini Urus in that price segment. I am not saying it’s a bad car, I am saying its not value for money for the vast majority of buyers in this segment.
That colour is stunning

Your explanation and delivery is nice.
you switched vehicles when you went back to the paved road. The roof rack & ladder looks cooler.
