Important to stay in the fall line and maintain momentum which will keep you floating. There is a good drill that has you ski in a straight line on lower angle terrain and practice bouncing up and down. As you gain momentum moving down the fall line make slight turns in direction but don’t scrub off speed which would cause you to sink. Your Skis should float towards the top with each bounce.

This video was more of a tutorial on being witty & clever on camera than providing actual advice. Also, where was the powder in the powder tutorial?

Fundamentals are constant, turn shape, lateral balance to outside ski are still needed to complete turns. Practice blending skills on piste before going off piste. Porpising, ollies, hop turns, air plane turns leapers prepare you for the dynamic forces off piste skiing presents. Know your snow. Not all new snow is your friend. watch for tree wells and avalanche danger in chutes, bowls, above cliff faces....

How about a mention of extension and flexion? The best and only tip
I heard specific to powder was narrower ski stance.

Pushing forward like normal in boot covering powder will leave you on your face pretty quickly.
You have to be forward and back at the same time.

Hi guys thank you for the video, it`s great!
I have a (strange) question, could you please tell me what size of the NF jacket Evelina has (and how tall is she?;). I want to buy that jacket to my fiance but we can`t find the jacket to try it on in a shop! ;( Would appreciate the help guys! Thank you again.

How do I stay forward without digging my tips in? Whenever I am in powder I have to stay way back on my heels which burns out my legs extremely quickly!

What do you mean by getting your toes up to get in the position?

Jim Formby Toes or even front of foot up helps you keep the ankle flexed and shin engaged into the front of the boot. It also gives the ski room to flex up if you hit a pile of pow without throwing you forward. This method of engaging the front of the boot puts you in the correct forward position without be overly forward.

İ suggest you to ski on powder, both shoes touching each other, not apart like the beginners 😊

Modern powder skis are wider than the shoes. Both shoes touching together makes your skis interfere and cross. Do that traversing above a cliff you will fall and possibly die. So that is bad advice.
