Wogan was a chat show on British television, hosted by Terry Wogan. It followed the format of a series broadcast in 1980 entitled What's On Wogan?, which failed to gather viewers. The Wogan show was initially broadcast on Tuesday evenings on BBC1 in 1981 and from 1982 to 1984, it moved into the Parkinson slot on Saturday nights. From here, it was moved to weekday evenings at 7pm, where it remained, three nights per week, from 1985 to 1992 - Фільми й анімація

I sold him and his and his lovely wife Elaine lots of clothes on Mackinac Island while he was filming Somewhere in Time. Humble actors are rare breed and they Elaine and Christopher are very humble souls. RIP Christopher. The last of the greats.

very versatile and super talented actor, Sound of Music is what he gets remembered for but he was so much more than that, he never retired , he was working right up until he passed away at aged 91, one of his last roles as JP Getty in Ridley Scott's " All The Money In The World".....marvelous actor...RIP Mr Plummer.

He lived in England in the early 60's
In April 1961, he appeared as Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing with the Royal Shakespeare Company at the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. He also appeared with the RSC in May 1961 in the lead role of Richard III. He made his London debut on June 11, 1961 playing King Henry II in Jean Anouilh's Becket with the RSC at the Aldwych Theatre. For his performance, Plummer won the Evening Standard Award for Best Actor.
I saw Becket. He was wonderful and so was Eric Porter who played the title part

Сегодня 5 февраля 2023 года вторая годовщина ухода от нас в Вечность🌹🌹 нашего любимого замечательного канадского артиста - мировой ЗВЕЗДЫ и ЛЕГЕНДЫ Кристофера Пламмера!!! Он оставил всем огромное творческое наследие!!! Я имела возможность познакомиться с его ролями в кино (более 80 )и театре!!! Посмотрела его в спектакле "Гамлет" 1964 года в Эльсиноре и в спектакле "Буря" 2010 года. Обе роли исполнены потрясающе с разницей почти в 50 лет!!! Считаю его Гамлета лучшим того времени, Кристофер всегда любил Шекспира и хорошо понимал его героев! А в " Буре" Он играл в 80 лет очень эмоционально и как всегда - потрясающе!!! Кроме артистической деятельности, он прекрасно играл на пианино! Ещё в молодости хотел стать пианистом, но познакомившись с театром, куда его часто водила мама, Кристофер увлёкся им на всю жизнь! Он был очень предан театру, считая ,что только там, артист может раскрыться по настоящему!!! В кино Кристофер пришёл позже, когда ему было около 30 лет, и кино покорило его новыми возможностями для развития и раскрытия талантов артиста!!! Позже Кристофер сыграл за свою жизнь более чем в 100 фильмах разных жанров, от комедии до триллеров и фэнтези!!! Его персонажи различны: от царственных особ, до убийц и простых людей разных профессий и характеров! Все роли, главные и второго плана сыграны им потрясающе талантливо!!! Кристофер играл почти до самого последнего дня своей жизни! Он был очень трудолюбив и многогранен в своём творчестве! Несколько дней назад прочитала его мемуары "Вопреки себе". Он пишет очень откровенно о своей жизни и с большим юмором и самоиронией!!! Просмотрела многие интервью с ним, где он также всегда откровенно и с юмором рассказывает о себе, своих работах и коллегах! Кристофер несколько раз играл священников высокого ранга и его игра была правдива и естественна, что после этого люди пытались целовать его руку как настоящему кардиналу!!! Вот это и есть - высшая оценка его творчества!!! Мы очень грустим, помним и очень 💓💓любим нашего несравненного КРИСТОФЕРА ПЛАММЕРА!!! 🌹🎬🎼🎹🌹
