- I had a track day a couple days ago on Friday June 9th with Nabil and the Just Track It team at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. Weather was great without a cloud in the sky. Car ran pretty good considering. The day before on Thursday, the car had some minor surgery. My good buddy, Domenic, helped me replace the alternator. It was on the brink of going out on me so I swopped it out just to be safe. Car ran great and had zero issues at the track. I didn't set a personal best lap time or have any super fast laps but had a blast nonetheless. Not sure where I'm headed next. Suggestions anyone? Thanks guys!!

As a European I’m not use to 5.8L V8 race engine sounds but for me it was the best sounding car by a country mile!

I've always been a Camaro Guy.... However I'm seriously thinking about the Dark Horse or the GT 350 or 500.
Honestly you can't go wrong with any of them. Camaro's are a fantastic track car. It's a beast out there no doubt. You may have no choice since the camaro is going away then coming back electrified in 2030. Unless you get one now but like I said I think they are all great. @@316racingchannel9 I had a 16 SS and it was a blast on tail of the Dragon.. Since I'm new with Ford products. Are there any years to steer away from when it comes to the Vudu engines? If I go used, probably won't but just in case.

It was brutal buddy. I've never seen so many Miatas. Still a blast as always. Aren't they strict on sound at CMP?
On paper yes. I’ve never seen them boot anyone. There are some VERY loud cars out there too.
@CFTP Racing your car is probably over the sound limit right? The 500 is pretty dang loud so if they aren't booting you off track I'd probably be safe. What do you think?
Great driving! I was at RA for the first time in my GT350 this past Saturday and Sunday with NASA. What a fun track, especially in these cars. I guess I just missed you, but hope to meet you soon!

@@316racingchannel9 the NASA event was fun. 2 days of driving helped to learn the track. Saturday was great weather! Sunday morning all of my group’s (DE 1) sessions got cancelled due to rain and lightning, but we had 3 sessions in the afternoon. It was my 1st event with NASA and my 1st time at RA

I run the Goodyear Supercar 3R's. Imo, it's the best tire before going to an expensive slick. How bout you buddy? What tire do you run? Thanks for the comment!
@@316racingchannel9 right now I’m on Maxxis Victra RC-1. 275/35/18 square on an e92 m3. Really trying to learn how to drive at the edge consistently. These hold up to the abuse and have a good amount of grip too. 3R’s are great!
Last time I raced at road Atlanta Camaros were in my way too.

Just curious..if you were driving a 1le with the same hp as your car, would you have better lap times in the 1le over your car?
My hp is less than a 1le's hp but if they were the same hp it would come down to which car had better suspension. A lot of people don't realize how much suspension plays a part in lap times. Really hard to say because both cars are super capable and I like them both. I just prefer the Shelby. Great question buddy! 👊🏻

chris newell 526 hp is what the GT350 comes with. The 1le comes with 650 hp if I'm not mistaken.
@@316racingchannel9 i have a 2021 2ss 1le..its 455hp.. i looked at a 2021 gt350 but it was a little pricey..85k$ ...just wondering if a ss 1le and the gt350 had the same hp with the same driver , which car would perform better?
Whoa $85k is pricey. I bought mine off the showroom floor back in 2018 and got mine for $58k. It's all about timing and when you buy. That's a badass car you have buddy. Tons of potential right out of the box. That's what I love about certain camaro and mustang models. They are very capable right out of the box.
