    I just bought a AVS water trap but it doesn’t have the arrow of which way to install it, which I found weird.
    Do you know if the blocked side goes on the tank side or manifold side?

    glad I found this video ,
    always wondered how to install a water trap . soo my tank has two lines coming out and into my manifold..is this really necessary ? or could I use one of the ports for something else like train horns or an air tool line like yours

    Where did you get that fitting for the water trap that goes from the tank to the trap ?

    Wouldn’t the water trap go between the compressors and the tank? Not tank and manifold?

      I’ve seen people have up to 3 water traps. From the compressors to the tank and the tank to the manifold. I just ran mine from the tank to the manifold because there was water building up in the manifold and didn’t want that happening again.

      In reality you need 3 water traps. One between each compressor and the tank and one between the manifold and tank.

      I was thinking the same thing you are exactly right. The water trap is to keep water out of your tank so all water traps should be in line from compressor to tank. Where he hooked his compressor to the tank is where the water trap should be. If you have two compressors, you should have two water traps. It goes straight from the compressor straight to the water trap water trap to the tank that’s to prevent water from getting in your tank and then you drain out those things every so often. . if you do it this way you’re not really doing anything not to mention that water trap is in front of the tank and not on the bottom of the tank. Water will settle at the bottom of the tank not the side of the tank.

    You don't have a pressure relief valve?

    How did you wire the two compressors? Did you end up splicing both and wiring them together all to one wire or did you have to run two separate wires up to the battery like how it says on the instructions

    does the water trap drain water that get in it on its own? or do you have to manually empty it?

    • @CendejasCustoms
      @CendejasCustoms  4 роки тому

      This one drains automatically, there’s a white one that my brother has that is manually

    Yea ALP is great but in reliable as fuck. I ran 3 traps and I still got a sensor fault. So now my two fronts are controlled through the front right switch (left is the fault). As for the traps, do they have to be mounted vertically? I emailed their service two weeks ago and haven’t gotten a reply.

    • @CendejasCustoms
      @CendejasCustoms  4 роки тому

      Haven’t really had any problems until now with the whole sensor fault. Im kind of at fault for not buying it new and not having warranty so they can just send me a new one. All the traps I’ve seen are mounted vertically so I’m sure that’s how they go

    The manifold always has to sit higher than the tank to prevent water from going in you should get a mount for it they like 24 $

    • @CendejasCustoms
      @CendejasCustoms  4 роки тому

      I finally ordered the fittings so I can mount the tank to my trunk. I’ll see what I end up doing and I’ll definitely take that into consideration.
