No one can sing songs like this as well as Agnetha, beautiful. Great reaction.
Aren’t the harmonies beautiful? Gives me chills hearing ABBA’s sound. 💕
Such a great song.
Nobody sings a tortured song like Agnetha. This is an incredibly masterful song. Lyrics are so touching, melody is simple yet very powerful. Vocals magnificent and harmonies heavenly. Outstanding song.
Abba are more than the glorious upbeat songs people associate them with. They bring real, heartbreaking human experiences to their songs. Incredible
I love this song. Thank you four reaction. Not many artists can sing with that real emotion. Great.
Vocal poetry - superb!
MY NEW FAVE FROM VOYAGE ALBUM. AGNETHA SINGS WITH SUCH PASSION, IT HURTS RIGHT TO THE CORE OF YOUR HEART. GOOOOOOOSEBUMPS😘😘😘😘
Oh, by the way, in a BBC interview with Frida from just a week ago or so, the interviewer asked her how it was decided who would sing lead on a particular song. Frida said that songs like this, that are 'story telling' type songs were often sung by Agnetha. she said that Agnetha had a gift for this kind of lyric music, moreso than herself. i thought that was interesting.
Very interesting!
@@tommyeriksson6044 I find Frida's vocals in ISHFIY really hit those emotional storytelling points perfectly. And she's telling the story of ABBA! Its beautiful and its perfect for what it is, just like I Can Be That Woman. Thats the magic of this band. They have songs each can deliver better, they each have strength and weakness, but no other band can claim to have the talents so perfectly matched and two such capable singers.
@@jamie514 *Oh Yes OHH YESSZ*
*Sir you explained it very well, spot on. Both Agnetha and Frida they both ARE perfect match. BUT l must say that both these ladies sound damn good ONLY when they sing songs written by Bjorn & Benny and vice versa. That is the magic*
*Agnetha or Frida sound horrible when they sing songs from other songwriters. The same goes to Bjorn & Benny ... where for example ... I Know Him So Well would have gone to a different level if ONLY it was done by Agnetha & Frida*
*In conclusion:*
*Only A&A could do justice to songs written by B&B (my 2cents opinion)*
@@redmi9t444 I also feel that the ladies really sounded their best singing with Abba. I've heard that the boys, but particularly Benny, loved pushing the girls to their vocal peaks. I think they became elite level vocalists because they pushed themselves over the top. Agneta mastered live singing with Abba and Frida really experimented with her voice, finding her true and unique timbre (according to herself).
Lastly, I agree regarding I Know Him So Well. That song was fine as it was, a real masterpiece sung by greats like Paige and Dickson. But Frida and Agnetha could've lifted the song up a notch or two. And just imagine Heaven Help My Heart by Agnetha or You and I by Frida
Most people associate Abba with the glorious, upbeat disco songs, but they are equally exceptional at the more sombre songs. This song punches us because it is such a real human experience. It is so beautiful ❤
This song was heartbreaking. But beautiful at the same time.
Agnetha wonderful I love this song
Agneta is amazing and I think this is the best song from the new album together with Don´t Shut Me Down. Fridas birthday today by the way. She is also fantastic. Greetings from Sweden and we hope you will continue with your ABBA-reactions :) A lot of old gold musicvideos with ABBA to enjoy
" I am aware of how far I have sunk..... and the dog is the first to feel it ! " Lyrical perfection, makes me cry ! Fantastic Agnetha, what a voice !
It's got a real country vibe, this has really grown on me
Voyage has turned out to be (in my estimation) a very good album. this song is reminiscent of songs from Agnetha's post-ABBA music.
A tear jerker😭
I love Agnetha's vulnerable but yet beautiful voice.. it's adds up to the incredible story telling touch which she potrays..so very beautiful 😍❤️ And aaahh when she harmonises with Frida, magnificent
Maybe you would like to react to No Doubt About It next?
*ASalam*
*A&A vocals combined with B&B songwriting skills IS the magic*
*When A&A sing songs by other composers they sound horrible. And when other singers sing songs written by B&B the songs lack lustre & depth*
*For example, I Know Him So Well would have gone to a different level if only A&A had delivered it*
(My 2cents opinion)
The highlight of the album. Agnetha with her story telling vocals. Nobody does it better
It's so good that Frida had to make note of it during her BBC 2 interview last week.... and it was also quite enduring and sweet the way she Said it was like coming home with her little sister ❤️
Agree! As a child of alcoholic parents, the lyrics cut deep. Probably the best song on the album.
You did better than I did, this was so beautiful it made me cry. But then again, I've been crying a lot today watching videos. Also, I LOVE the Red background and the whole setup!❤️👍
Thank you !!!
I absolutely LOVE this song. Agnetha is such a wonderful story teller. Love her raw emotion. Very relatable. So sad...but..there is hope?
In an interview in a german radio show Benny mentioned that this song is actually about an alcoholic woman. And he said that there might not be too many songs about addicted women out there....
Beautiful reaction to a beautiful song! Oddly, this is the first time I heard it, I thought I had heard all of theirs.
Such a beautiful song sung by one of the best ever.
Stunning 😍
Amazing song
Thank you, sir, nice post.
This is my fourth listen. When she says ‘you’re not the man you could have been’ she’s owning her part in his circumstance. She’s not judging.
I didn’t catch that at first.
ABBA explained that the lyrics tell some of the story of Tammy Wynette
When was that?
Care to share your source or link please, TQ
@@redmi9t444 Björn have talked about it here in Sweden 🇸🇪 but its swedish newspapers. Guess that you dont will understand it. 😉
@@redmi9t444 It’s also on iTunes under the description of the album. Bjorn provides an interpretation of each song.
The emotion is so genuine. Agnetha doesn't have to try too hard because she has been there. That is what makes this song so real. It resonates with many couples .
my eyes cant stop tears fallen
Best song on the Album. The emotional story telling by Agnetha is just fantastic and heart wrenching. When Frida joins in the background they sound like Angels. The Lyrics are about Tammy Wynette and her Husband George Jones. Both huge country artists. Both had addictions and suffered terrible fights, yet the still loved each other.
And how is that Tammy could be swishing her tail???
I agree
@@redmi9t444 Agnetha loves dogs. So Bjorn named the Dog in the story Tammy.
Great reaction. You should do ABBA's track When All Is Said And Done from 1981s The Visitors (my favorite ABBA album), not one that every reactor does, but it is a very adult track about relationships, starting in a bar or restaurant where they are toasting one last time to the relationship they had together.
*This song is as though a bullet pierced thru my heart!!!*
That was a heartfelt reaction to a beautiful song. I was going through the same emotions as I watched along. Thank you😊
PLEASE REACT TO "Keep An Eye On Dan"....the song is so eerily masterful...and yet such a departure for ABBA....!
The song is just in its own league especially the subject matter considering you mentioned like friends of yours having marital issues, this song would definitely be ideal if there's children involved
Happy Birthday Frida🎂
First hearing this song remind me Lady gaga on a star is born !
A masterpiece on Voyage, and What a chance to have Agnetha singing again with Abba... ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Beatiful reaction, the best sound AND great song. ABBA forever. Congratulation from Argentina 🇦🇷🎶😍
One of the best ABBA songs ....
This song is one of those songs that starts out not being a favorite, but works it's way on to my list, the more and more I hear it. It is one of those songs I would use to demonstrate the depth and growth the group developed as songwriters and interpreters.
Linda CANÇÃO , curto o ABBA desde sua formação
I love the Guitar in the Background at the 2nd Verse - a great Song with a still real great Voice 👍
Bjorn, the lyricist, is a long time fan of Tammy Wynette & although he names the dog Tammy, the song is about Tammy & George Jones & their extremely volatile relationship.
♥️
The heartbreak in that voice 💔...amazing
Thank you very much for your great reaction. Wonderful to hear that you understand the pain, struggle and depth of this song. And the hope. It is epic already. Love from Lena
Please do the rest of the album. (lyric videos)
Great comments and review!
Wtf are the head movements 😂like a spoon stirring a cup of tea 🤣omg hilarious
Time for more Abbareactions to old songs/videos now in 2022. Please! :)
Shannon from the 70's is about an irish setter
I like Agnetha singing the story telling type of song but joining with Frida sounds like an angel...When the two vocalists sang together that is ABBA...Agnetha alone is not ABBA and so with Frida...There must be a synergy of the two lead vocalists to make it a real ABBA....
This has dark undertones of domestic abuse (alcoholism maybe) or possibly dementia. It's heart wrenching.

АББА люблю с с 8х,вы врёте, что бы бабок заработать
Not even Agnetha's beautiful story-telling voice can save this turgid and verbose track. One of the low points of this largely average album.
