Great looking table. Cortex makes a kit that actually comes with a color matched screw, non marring countersink bit & color matched plugs for the specific trex color you may be using, not expensive at all and hides all the screw heads
Hey Wes, great job. I know you thought of it later, but a piece of tape would have been slick to mark all the drill spots before assembly. Looks wonderful
Great job! I’m interested to see what your table base will look like. Also, what will you use for seating? Chairs or a bench seat? Because I live in New England I would very much like to seal the under-frame with some type of exterior protective wood stain. Thanks!
Hi Wes, I agree with the durability and ease of maintenance but I find that this material (any colour) tends to be hotter than wood material. So if you are not in the shade this table will get hot.
Buen trabajo Wes! Cuánto crees que terminará pesando esa mesa? No me imagino mucho el peso de las piezas plásticas... Gracias desde ya. Un abrazo! Germán, Lomas de Solymar, Uruguay

Is there any way to hide the screws? I thought composite decking had that ability? If the redwood support expands and contracts, how does that affect the fixed composite pieces?
I'm pretty much a neophyte, so maybe this suggestion doesn't make sense. Why not drill the holes into your scrap from the bottom, and then use them as guides? This way you don't have to measure each time; just align the scrap with the edges and drill until you reach the board, remove the guide and drill using your depth gauge and chamfer bit.
Hi...using the scrap piece for a drilling guide is a great idea, however, I don't think screws from the underneath would not have sufficient holding power by the threads alone. I appreciate your comment. Wes
Thanks for sharing, Wes!
Hi...you are so welcome! Thanks for your support! Wes
Great job Wes!👌👌👌👌🔥🔥🔥🔥
Appreciate it!! Wes

Tôi thích cách làm của bạn 🎉🎉🎉
Another beautiful project. I LOVE how this looks. I would love to make table into my backyard. Thank you for the wonderful videos. You are a treasure.
Hi...thank you so very much for your kind words! Wes
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
👍
What do you use to fill nail holes in your furniture builds? Live your videos.
Hi...I use Famowood for all my wood fills. Thanks for watching, Wes
Nice! But I think i would have set the screws from under the table so no screws are exposed.
Neat pattern. I think that I'll have to do something similar for the sliding barn door for my master bath remodel.
Hi...that's a great idea! Glad you enjoyed the video, Wes

Hi...I am not sure about seating because it is built for a friend. We have posted the table legs....check it out. Thanks, Wes
I love it.

Hi...yes it will be well shaded, thanks for the comment! Wes
I love the video as always - I think I will make some planter boxes out of this, maybe overkill - but should last forever. :-)
Hi...I think planter boxes are a great idea! Anything you can build just once makes sense to me 😀 Wes
Cool stuff.
Thank you...I really appreciate the support
Looks great! Are you going to do a video on the legs for it?
Hi...we did do a video on the legs. Thanks for the support 😀 Wes

I don't work with it often, but composite 'wood' does move in the heat and cold.
Some decking manufacturers will have screw hole plugs
You could use a plug maker on the scraps. He said the shims were to allow for expansion.
Looks like it would make a nice "barn door" too.
Hi...Yep, it's a great pattern for that! Wes
Can you provide link for the countersink you used...its not listed.
Hi...so sorry, I now have it on the description for the video. Thanks, Wes

It’s huge!!! Who has an area that big? Looks pretty though
