I have a great recipe using stem ginger. You need to butter individual Yorkshire pudding tins and then add some syrup from the stem ginger jar. Then you add chopped stem ginger and top with sliced bananas and cover with a puff pastry lid with an egg glaze. Bake until golden and turn out and serve with pistachio ice cream. Really simple and easy but absolutely delicious 😮
The second one you mentioned is delicious, I got mine at Aldi.

Thanks for another very calm and soothing video. Genuine question which applies to many ASMR channels, why does there seem to be a preference for mics to be in shot? I’m intrigued because having spent most of my career working in TV sound we always went to great efforts to avoid mics being seen. In the case of this video I would have used a boom, or boom arm stand, to support the mic (or mics) just out of frame at the top of the shot. No criticism of your sound recording BTW, just curious about the aesthetics.
Hi Hugh, I work in TV and have watched ASMR for a long time so might be able to add my two cents on this! I think with ASMR, viewers enjoy seeing how the sound is actually made, the visuals of it usually adds to the experience, so it’s nice to see the mic in shot. It also means the ASMRtist can get really close to it and interact with it directly (like when they whisper right into it and tap the mic etc). Because the whole theme of the videos is about sound, it just makes sense really, whereas in TV, nobody cares how the programme was made, so seeing the camera/ mic etc looks messy and careless. Just my take on it!
Thanks for those very interesting thoughts @@elliebrown1393 , I think you're probably right, I guess that because ASMR is all about sound the visuals are in a way secondary but people like to see the hardware involved in gathering the audio, and of course the mics can be used in creative ways which might be normal in a sound studio but much less likely in a film or TV environment. Of course as a sound person I like seeing mics of all shapes and sizes but, as you know, when you're working in TV part of the art is to gather great sound whilst keeping them hidden !
