I remember playing this in high school! If I had came across this video the day you released this, the ONLY additional tip I would have advised is make the percussion group create a crescendo @1:43. Just for future references!
I played this in 7th grade and I had to play ALL OF THE PERCUSSION PARTS except snare and bells. I had to play 3 cymbals, maraca, gong, triangle, anvil (mini cymbal) all in this one song.
Usually, band students will listen to this recording when their band begins to work on it. It is my hope that they will become more sensitive to the challenges of this piece by learning from our mistakes.
played cello for this song. it is so much fun to play. played it last year in orchestra. I love the sound of it too. I miss orchestra so much. it's only been a year.
vibrato is fun. but I'm not very good at it. i have a cello but i haven't played in 2+ years. i miss it so much and i don't want to sell it. :( but i need money for a gaming PC. It hurts. it has a special place in my heart. to this day i think it is among the most interesting and beautiful instruments to me. it is the closest instrument to the adult human male voice. (makes it easy to tune XD)
I dont know if its just me but I see no saxophones, I play the tenor and we are playing this for my band and I love this but I see no saxophones but idk if its just me
1:12 my band has a massive gong (idk how they had that much budget) and for every performance we give they hit the gong and everyone thinks it's over until the band starts playing again and so the clapping mid song gets annoying
I play flute and I notice something that is not good, posture, the flutes had there legs crossed, what a shame, we get called out if we sit like that and it's not pretty.
I played this in 7th grade now thinking abt trying out for honor band, wish me luck! i play clarinet btw
