- This Prawn Linguine is one of Jamie’s speedy dishes from 15 Minute Meals, and it’s so good! The layers of flavour from cinnamon, saffron, chilli, garlic & lemon give an unexpected, but very welcome twist on a seafood pasta dish, and you really should give it a try!

Boil linguine.
Make pangrattato: 2 slices of bread + 2 cloves of garlic + 1 tbsp olive oil whizzed in a food processor to crumb stage. Put in hot pan and toss every so often till brown and crispy. Remove onto serving dish.
Make sauce: Fry chopped red chili, 4 anchovy fillets, pinch of saffron, prawns, garlic and a pinch of cinnamon. Pour a jar of passata and squeeze 1 lemon in. Add pasta and stir into the sauce. Shave parmesan on top and sprinkle with basil leaves.
"it's really good to become a good tosser" 🤣🤣🤣 Yep. You definitely already won that accolade!
Yet you still watch his videos
I think Jamie probably thought it was funny when he said it; he's aware of what people are saying so maybe it was a sly dig. I don't mind him personally.
I envy these kitchens Jamie has access to, I'm but a poor college student with a passion for cooking.
oh.. saffron..
Get yourself a griddle and some basic tools. You'd be surprised what you could do.
We third world country dwellers had to do it without the fancy stuffs. Really all you need is a stove, a pan, and something to stir. Go to local market. Be creative.
Fyi, you can make some very creative meals using a waffle maker! Esp, all types of potatoes and veggies. You keep chugging along, eye on YOUR prize, and you'll get there soon enough.. My lean days as a student made me truly appreciate beautifully tasting foods, among other things!
Jamie: “The sauce will only take 4 minutes to make.”
Me: *12 hours have passed and I’m trying to keep life together by the seams*
Lol the biggest takeaway I got from this video is the way he opened that pasta package.
Also, can't afford Parm but can afford Saffron LUL
Angelbelle and how to become a good tosser! Lol!
Angelbelle Where do you live that makes you cant afford parmesan. For me i live in Turkey and parmesan’s price is shitload in here that i can barely afford. I really wondered your location.
"It's really good to become a good tosser."
You'd know Jamie...
I came to look for that on the comment section 🤣
Rofl I thought his best work to date was his show naked chief
Also came here for this. Pleased it was the top comment
touche
why don't i get the joke :D i'm not an english native so please explain
The most beautiful thing I’ve learned from Arabic cuisine is that cinnamon goes with everything 😋😋😋 salty or sweet it will only improve things. You can also add a little to your White Sauce spaghetti and Will be SPECTACULAR. Try it on your eggs with some red onions, cumin and black pepper DIVINE, try it in your meats and Voila! 😋😋😋 always subtle and earthy heartwaring flavor
I realised that too. I thought it only went with sugar and apples. How wrong was I.
Chinese 5 spice also works
De Checco...if you know, you know. Love from Italy❤️
Outstanding !!!!! I watch today for the first time.
I am eating my 2nd plate as I type this comment.
Delicious I had everything in the house I just bought Fresh Basil and a Chile.
So simple. OMG TY
Jamie Oliver enjoys cinnamon a lot, and I have to say that it's a fantastic addition to numerous pasta dishes with fish in particular, check his recipe for tuna pasta with cinnamon
The cinnamon really brings out the flavour of the prawns and lightens the dish.
Pasta looks very good!!
i jst love ur way of cooking........nd way u represent.........its really having.........fun nd amazement to see u cook..........u r jst fab☺️😘😘😍😍😘😍😍🤗🤗🤗🤗
Jamie cooking anything: “give them a little toss”
U
The pasta looks delicious!
Good recipe!
1:46 Jamie: Instead of stirring like an amateur
Me: I'm an amateur
Wow looks delicious, I love prawns, I'll be cooking that soon 👍
"I've seen Nonna's do it" Oh but Jamie, what is good for Nonna is not supposed to be told!
4:27 that sentence just killed me
At 1:50 did he really say "become a good TOSSER!" 😂😂😂
Bonjour Jamie merci pour ces délicieuse recette
I faintly remember watching this on german tv (yes, dubbed. it was not good) when i was younger. Those were the days, sneaking into my parents bedroom to satisfy my need to learn more about cooking... I miss that
Lovely dish by a lovely chef.
Can we have a guide on becoming a good tosser next?
You are the best chef of the world.
Just made this and it was delicious!
Best dish I've had in a very long time 10/10 🤤🤤
Tried making this dish and It turned out delicious. Yum
Super good. I would’ve never thought the combo would work. Saffron sure, but cinnamon was odd sounding yet tasty.
Did you try this dish with the cinnamon? Im having serious doubts about it.
@@fereyd4364 a tiny bit of cinnamon in savoury dishes is really good, it adds a nice depth of flavour. Be super careful not to add too much because as soon as you can actually taste the cinnamon as an individual flavour it's a little strange
Give them a "leeh awl bieeh" of smell,
Give that a nice "leeh awl" toss,
Suck up the "toma ohh" sauce.
I'm in love the London or Manchester or the accent of these areas.
Absolutely "beau eiih ful"
Great ideas for tomorrow's dinner Jamie, thankyou. It looks delicious. Regards from Ireland 🇮🇪
We tried it - it was okay, but we opt for a fresher kind of taste. The breadcrumbs did add texture were surprisingly good combined with the pasta.
Every time i wach your viedeos i'm hungry🥗👍🏼❤
Love this great meal. Thank you for sharing.
Just came across your channel today and love all the videos I have watched. Please put a link in the description with the recipe, thanks!!
Yes
enthusiasm = jamie oliver
This looks amazing. It reminds me of those sicilian pasta with peanuts and raisins i think from Jamie in Italy series or something like that.
I have never tried prawns, honestly i am a bit afraid to try but one day i will take a small bite and this recipe will be the first thing to try afterwards.
Marc Claudiu unless you have additional seasoning/ marinate with the prawns, in their basic form, they’re sweet and not really that strong in flavour. I don’t see how someone couldn’t like them to be honest.
The addition of pangritata in pasta is similar to adding crispy peanuts in pad thai.
Looks insane man im makin this Monday aftr work
How'd it go?
@@yupyuppers6792 I didnt bother doing the breadcrumbs, didn't look as good as Jamie's but still it was super tasty.
He twists the pasta so it will fall in the water evenly and cook evenly. Also looks good.
Wow, great job.
Looks great!
I asked for palmasan on a creamy seafood risotto once. It was the best risotto I've ever had.
palmasan? lmfao..
@@dustyowl99 😂parmesan
Epic......
Love them thanks for inspiration!
Will have to try next time with cinammon thanks
Hi food tube just wanted to say thank you, you guys really have helped me learn to cook delicious food for myself : D
I have make this over 30 and that is perfekt.Belissimo with tuna too.
This recipe is delicious!
yuuuuummmmmmm!!! this looks gorgeous and easy enough... so hungry now
It took him years of training to finally become an amazing tosser!!
Absolutely love ur recipes. Quick and delicious 😋 ❤
What can I use instead of chilli?
Unfortunately I can't eat chilli anymore because it causes me pain in the stomach but this looks and sounds nice.
That whole Thai chili with the seeds left in will make that sauce very spicy. I love Thai chilis but they are hot as hell.
Как же мне нравится его смотреть! Классно готовит! Доступно и понятно! Интересно. Очень многое готовлю по его рецептам! Привет, Джими!
But you said that you're doing the bread crumbs as a replacement for parmigiano and you still added parmigiano to the recipe 😂
Youre not loved by your parents
Nah he said that this was the original idea behind it
And ofcours the savings on parmigiano are transferred to saffron ....
Perfect✨
Hi Jamie and everybody else in the world 🌎 of Jamie Oliver too awesome 👏 video as always good 😊 bread 🥖 garlic olive oil toss linguini pour in the water 💦 and add a bit of salt pour the breadcrumbs in chilli 🌶 anchovies quick cooking 🍳 pinch of saffron prawns 🍤 garlic great 👍 flavours pinch of cinnamon passata pasta 🍝 done ✅ Parmesan lay it around the plate delicious 😋 you'd never think that the cinnamon would work
I am a really good tosser but still an amature! Great recipe. Thanks for sharing. Love ya'll
🤣 look this word up in british english 'tosser'
Will defo make this
I made it but without anchovies:( still was incredible. Definitely I’ll make it again with a little less pepper
What's the red color sauce which he puts at 3:26 ? Where can I get it. Please tell me. I am in love with this recipe and want to make it as soon as I can....
Chess Sincere Videos „Passata is an uncooked tomato purée that has been strained of seeds and skins“ so you need to buy tomato sauce
Chess Sincere Videos you also can peel your tomatoes, delete the seeds and blender them in
Is this tomato sauce different from tomato ketchup?
Chess Sincere Videos yes. The difference is huge. Some Italians wouldn’t approve of using ketchup in their dishes
Look really great and amazing...!
Absolutly great!
looks like a love child of an indian and an italian.
saffron is not used much in Indian cousin. it's not ginger garlic paste and garam masala.
More like Iran than india
Literally he mentioned Arabic influences 😂
@@kareemosman3064 Saffron is used in a ton of Indian dishes. It's mostly used in sweets.
Wow, that's looks so delicious that I would love to try it for sure. Lovely recipe, sir! 😉
It's seemingly a simple recipe but you really need to get the chilly, saffron and cinnamon ratio right (plus how acidic are the tomatoes add a pinch of sugar) to get the most of it. It's not easy to get it right
Здорово,быстро и оригинально!!!
Nonnas do really know what they do! Yummi!
i love it, but why wouldnt you peel the garlic?
John Cool lol he used a garlic crusher - don’t need to peel
@@Jake-pp7dk When he put the whole unpeeled garlic cloves in the blender with the bread wouldn't you just end up eating some of the skins?
Karsten L he’s crisping them up so I guess he doesn’t mind eating the crispy skins too
I prefer watching him that Gordon. The food he makes looks delicious!
Hi Jamie, Love the Pasta , All the Best from the other Essex Boy Brian 🤗
Am i the only one hearing “pasta rin” when he wants to say pasta in?? 😂
kostasSYF i notice many British people put an "r" like sound at the end of words that end in an "a." i wonder if only certain regions in the U.K. do that.
You are the Best 👉🏼👍🏼✊🏼
وحشتنا وصفاتك الجميله ياجمي أجمل دعم من مصر ام الدنيا
Definitely delicious !
I love fried anchovies that we find in the streets of Napoli but any other way like adding them in pasta or pizza is too strong for my palette
Delicious
Hello, nice recipe
Cinnamon in J.O.'s chili recipe is a real good bonus, so i'll give it a try here too.
Posted yesterday 😀🥰😄😄 love Jamie
THESE ARE THE ITALIANS DISCHES THAT I LIKE...not super guarnished boring gourmet fake italian dishes...for this i prefear Jamie to Gordon in some way 😂
Make yourself a real Tosser, LOL good one Jamie.
"It's good to become a good uno tosser" Jamie Oliver
Wow beautiful👌👍
@Jamie Oliver can I season the pasta water with salt and a little bit of pepper and add some crushed pistachio with the breadcrumbs
Well I’m not Jamie but I would say you should definitely season the water generously with salt, however the pasta won’t pick up many other flavours while it’s in the water, I would instead recommend adding the pepper after you’ve added the noodles to the sauce. I think the pistachios is a great idea though! You could also consider adding some lemon zest and some fresh mint to the Pangrattato as well. Enjoy!
Look st this delicious
Yummy 😋
Does look fukken good tho
Nice to meet you my friend ~~
Your channel video is so nice
Good food delicious food
Have a nice day..
May I ask if we didn't have saffron can we subtitude it? Thanks from Indonesia.
In my opinion safran is overrated. It gives beautiful colour. I do not taste much of it. Take a bit of tumeric powder, it will be good as well.
I'm allergic to spices
shall I exchange chili with bell pepper? and sardines instead of anchovies?
That looks delicious 😍
I never thought the cinnamon would work! But it tastes absolutely delicious.
jamie, you did it agian, thanks,, ciao
that pasta opening was the peak of masculinity
“It’s really good to be a good tosser”
This thing is about as Sicilian as a boy born in NYC pretending to be a mafia boss because he goes to a pizza restaurant in Little Italy once a week.
😂
cool
What was the tomato sauce he used?
I think he said Pasata which is uncooked tomato puree.
