Annual subscription is a REAL sales let down, especially when most of us have subscription free golf watches and range finders these days.. plus you can't always get your trolley right next to wayward shots, rendering the gps useless if it's not right next to you!! 😂. Motocaddy must be loosing lot's of buyers to the subscription free opposition.

I like the idea of the GPS on the trolley and the screen looks fantastic. From what you’ve described though, I think it’s really over engineered and I’d use about 10% of the functions. (I just want front / middle / back)
The main function is to carry the clubs and you can get a good trolley for c.£500. The other £500 you’re paying for this is just all a little unnecessary.
I know what you mean, but I think there is a market for those golfers who do want all the features that come with it too….that said I have the entry level Motocaddy M1 which. Low costs around £600ish

Just used my S5 GPS DHC for the first time and your video played a big part in my decision to get one. Managed to get it for£749 which is slightly more palatable. One question though regarding the software. I have the motocaddy app installed which I believe is a requirement but it doesn't seem to work in tandem with the trolley software. What I mean by that is you click play golf on the trolley and put in your scores as you play but the app doesn't mirror this so not sure what it's actually doing,? Also at the end of the round as far as I can tell the there's no way of saving your score? Thanks again for your comprehensive guide
£749 is a good price! As far as I understand it, you have to sign in to both the trolley and the motocaddy gps app, and they will sync - should happen automatically using the cellular connection if you have the performance plan activated, or via the wifi next time your trolley connects.

@@GolfGuyReviews discovered the round is saved to the app once completed so that's something. However that will only last as long as the free trial and not sure it's something I will pay for especially as you pointed out there's plenty of free options that do just as good a job
Firstly great video, & very informative. I do have one question though :) I'm in the market for an electric trolley and i have narrowed it down to a motocaddy and ihave been looking at this one the S5 GPS and also the M5 GPS, am i right in thinking the only difference is the M5 folds down smaller and is about 4kg heavier? Thanks
Thanks 🙏 yes the main difference is how small they fold, and the S5 has a different battery connection that means it automatically disconnects when you fold it down. The weight different on their website is only 0.5kg, not 4kg.

I got one for my 50th unfortunately it had fallen in the garage and the screen cracked at the top there is no rim to screen and it very fragile. Shouldn’t break with one fall. Didn’t even get to use before broken. Motocaddy like BMW give u the basic unit then have to add everything. They sell a guard for screen but everywhere out of
Stock which shows everything. Really disappointed they need to add rubbers around screen
That really sucks, sorry to hear. It is a big risk with these trolleys that the screen gets cracked.
I’ve had M5 gps DHC for 3 years now and overall v happy with it as it has been trouble free. Screen is excellent. Subscription for additional features just not worth it in my view.

What is the difference between M5 GPS and M7 GPS
@@psvv8512 believe the M7 is remote controlled with a handset to control movement. Whereas the M5 is the more usual hand controlled.
£1000 for a basic S5! I only paid £899 for and M7 last year
Subscription is a let down considering the cost. Rip off as far as i am concerned

I’ve got the m5 GPS… they don’t have their house in order when it comes to billing… there’s no way of paying for it… so far they’ve granted me two further 6 month trials FOC.. 👍
