My mother used to tell me how funny and original Your Show of Shows was. Now, finally, I understand. Thank you so much for posting!

Raising farce, silliness and satire to great new heights...on a great old show!

The girl singing "I'm gonna live 'til I die" had me in tears, hilarious 😂

Imogene was the female Don Knotts; who could also dance.👏

How they got through that nose to nose scene without cracking up, I’ll never know..

Because they were dedicated professionals who could focus, unlike the hyper moppets we have around today who think laughing at themselves is the pinnacle of comedy. Long live King Caesar and Queen Imogene!

They did with television what Jack Benny did with radio.

That sketch is a whole lot more entertaining than that leaden 1997 movie The Paper. 😪

I wonder if this may have been part of the inspiration for "My favorite year"?

+littlegelland Hm, at least the striped mob-boss blazer... the rest is probably more in line with the "Bullets over Broadway"-sketch.

Not one of their better skits. A redo of a Pat O’brian movie. Imogene Coca never received the credit she deserved.

Joseph Cierniak she was a phenomenal performer and wonderful person. She worked harder than everybody and did it with sweetness and grace!

Agree that the divine Imogene Coca never received her due acclaim. But I do think she was truly appreciated and loved by Sid Caesar. He was 14 years her junior, so really a different generation--- but he loved her so much, just like a younger brother. ... you can just tell, watching their sketches together. Thanks so much for posting!

Boo to the "not one of their best...." . This was one of their really great sketches. Sorry you didn't appreciate it as much as others.

Isn't this a take-off on that bore movie "great" with Rosalind Russell and Sam Levine - and Cary grant, or whatever? "Front Page?" Won big awards. Big snooze.
