I honestly do not have a particular favorite because they’re all so good. My grandpa was a teen back in the early 60s in California living by the beach so he loved The Beach Boys from the start, and that love is passed down through each generation in my family.
The Beach Boys are my all time favorite band! I love all of their music and I see them live whenever I can. My favorite song is and always will be I Get Around.

Their songs are so summery and such good vibes. Exactly what we need to get us through cold old January lol. Also it always seams like students always have a war over the music they listen to in class. That's the same thing that would happen in my Art class many years ago in high school, someone always wanted to turn the station over.
You might already know this info but they released a sequel to this album in 2007 called “The Warmth Of The Sun”. It includes the songs “409”, “Catch A Wave”, “All Summer Long”, “Forever”, “Sail On Sailor” and a bunch of other hits that were left off the first volume. It’s a great companion to the collection you have here :)
Yes, I love the Beach Boys! I saw Brian Wilson live a couple of years ago. Brian wrote Don't Worry Baby with the intention of having Phil Spector produce it for one of his groups. He passed on it. God Only Knows was famously called "the most beautiful song ever written" by Paul McCartney. 😁 I have many favorites but I love Good Vibrations so much.
i havent listened to a lot of beach boys, but “Caroline, No” is so beautiful. brian’s vocals are just so great and it is disappointing he had a lot of mental health issues. pet sounds is also such an important album in music history, the boys deserve all the respect they get and more
Oh man, these guys bring back some memories. My very first musical obsession (I'm pretty sure my dad still has nightmares about them, as much as I played my Beach Boys tapes and records over and over as a kid. Don't Worry Baby is one of my favorites as well, as is Warmth of the Sun. I like the story behind the song, btw. The power of those songs that transport us back to a special place and time, you can't put a price on that.
4 of my favourite songs ever are Sloop John B, Good Vibrations, God Only Knows, and Don’t Talk (Put Your Head On My Shoulder). I think Don’t Talk is my #1 favourite. I’ve been learning to play God Only Knows. The chords are incredible. Little Deuce Coupe and Fun Fun Fun are quite simple, but the overall feel-good sound is something so amazing that nobody has ever managed to replicate, to my knowledge.

He was 22 and had gotten his driving licence the previous year), and me 12. It was the very first I went somewhere for a whole week without my parents. We were listening to this band over and over again during the trip, even though we often didn't really understand much of the lyrics, haha! Maybe your classmates were not as musically well educated as you, because it is pretty rare nowadays to meet teenagers who know so well the music coming from the 50's, the 60's or even the 70's as you do, Prim! Also, I think you are much more openminded and curious of everything than a lot of people are capable of out there. My two personal favorite songs from the Beach Boys are I Can Hear Music and Kokomo, even before Good Vibrations, I Get Around, or Barbara Ann! Thank you for being the sunshine of our nights, Prim!

"Fun, Fun, Fun", which you also said is one of your favorites is one their better party type songs. I also love "California Girls" and "Help Me Rhonda". "50 First Dates" is the only Adam Sandler movie I really like (although I remember enjoying "Billy Madison" too). I thought it was a great film, full of heart, and funny too. You should listen to the Four Seasons if you don't already because they are another really great group. Those groups are well-known but I could introduce you to a whole world of great music you may not have heard of with artists that were once popular, but aren't as well-known today. Mostly stuff from the '50's and '60's since I think that's when the greatest pop music was made. My opinion, of course! I got into the music from those decades as a teenager, even though no one my age listened to that older music. It really spoke to me, and continues to do so today. I used to bring CDs with me to play in accounting class in school when we were working on assignments. The teacher would let students play music and I always brought CDs of music from the 1960's. Not all of the students liked the songs either though (but the teacher did, lol). If I were you, I also would have been upset that they turned off "Don't Worry Baby" and put on something like Katy Perry (who I don't like at all, but then again, I don't like any contemporary popular music). I feel your pain there. Love the yellow shirt which matches the yellow and sunny disposition of the album. I love the beautiful natural look you have going on in this video too! Very pretty! Those Elvis albums coming up are really great records. So much good music on those. Most guys I know that like Elvis care more for the uptempo songs, but I always liked the slow songs the best. That goes for my taste in all music though. I like the romantic songs with meaningful lyrics. However, I like a few of Elvis's faster songs too!
