Thank you for this new awesome Recording Album video, Prim, and for taking the time to read us the beautiful words of Johnny Cash written on the back of it. "Jackson" is also one of my all time favorites, because as you said, their voices go together so well! Also like very much "25 minutes to go", that manages to put ourselves in the shoes of a prisoner sentenced to death and living his last minutes almost in real time with us. Johnny Cash's sense of humor is also priceless in "Flushed from the bathroom of your heart", but I think it's much easier to appreciate it as a man who's been abruptly skipped from a woman's life. On the contrary to "I still miss someone", so universal, probably one of the most beautiful love songs ever written, that everybody can feel in her or his heart. Like other fans said, I also love to hear from time to time the tiny sound of this train in the background of your videos. Each time, I get the impression to play the character of Gary Cooper in the movie High Noon, with this steam locomotive chimney sound approaching from the town...
"You can see the faded marks all over.... almost a whole ring.... Ring of Fire!" - Primio. The second installment in the legendary album series, and the second Johnny Cash album. The album series and especially the first Johnny Cash video will always be one of the most important videos on your channel! I made my very first comment on this channel on that specific video! If it wasn't for that video, maybe I would have never commented on any of your videos. I was so excited and happy to see an album video because I had never seen any ASMRtist doing something like that! You had one of the most creative and original ideas then, and now after a year you still manage to surprise me in so many different ways. This videos is perfect! From the album choice, to the tapping, to the reading parts etc. When you were reading that story, your genuine and heartfelt side was shining bright! You're right, music can help people look at things differently. I'm not the biggest fan of country music but artists like Johnny Cash are so special because of the deep meaningful lyrics that they can write. There's something to relate for anyone in all of his songs. I yet have to watch the movie about his life in it's entirety, but the parts that I have seen, spoke to me on an emotional level that not many movies can achieve. As for my favorite Johnny Cash songs, I like these ones a lot - The General Lee, One Piece At A Time, I Walk The Line, There You Go, All Over Again, Big River, Flesh And Blood, Jackson, Get Rhythm, Cry Cry Cry, Hey Porter!
I love your stuff. You do great job!! Your attitude is awesome. If I had a daughter. I would have wanted it to be you..:)!! Thank you for sharing your great videos...xxoo
My favorite songs on the album are "I Still Miss Someone", which is one of his signature love songs, and "Green, Green Grass of Home". I haven't heard "Green Grass" by Cash, but I really like the versions by Tom Jones, Gene Pitney and Frank Patterson. If you get a chance to see it, you should watch the episode of Saturday Night Live that Johnny Cash hosted in 1982. He's quite funny in the sketches, and gets to sing a lot of songs. The well-worn old record albums often have a worn ring on the cover like this one, as the record starts to wear through the cardboard covers. Prim, I love it when you say "I hear the train a-comin". It's like a trademark of your videos, and I find comfort in that. I've heard the train so many times in the background that it seems like it's always a-comin! :) I only know one song by Boston, and that is "Amanda". I like that song! I hope you have a Bangles album in there somewhere so we can talk about it when you show us. :)
I'm mostly into singers and bands before the '70's (with exceptions) so I'm not proficient in the musical catalog of more contemporary groups (even though Boston isn't exactly a recent group). I really don't know anything about them, except for the song "Amanda". I'm listening to ""More Than a Feeling" right now, but I don't recall ever hearing it before.
This series is off to a good start with these records. As an aside- My uncle tells me we're related to June Carter Cash, which as a musician, I would love to be the case.
👍 👍 👍 Nice video. I think that you have a very interesting collection articles like magazines, novels, albums, clothes, etc and these become your videos in something special and unique.
I love these album videos. Those are my favorites. For me Johnny Cash is fantastic music. If you want I think you can purchase a new inner sleeve for the record
Your set-up kinda makes it look "Dark as a Dungeon" where you're filming at (pun intended), lol. 😁 I don't why the song is listed as "Dark as the Dungeon" on the album, it's correct title is "Dark as a Dungeon" with an 'a'. It's not a Johnny Cash original, it was written & originally recorded by Merle Travis in the 1940's, but Cash's version from 'At Folsom Prison' is probably the best known version today (Cash had recorded & released a studio version in 1964). My favorite version of "Dark as a Dungeon" is probably the version by Wall of Voodoo from 1985 (it may be because that was the first version of the song I ever heard), and if you like the song Prim then I recommend checking out Wall of Voodoo's version as well as Merle Travis' original of this classic lament of the coal miner. 👍 I don't think I mentioned my favorite Johnny Cash song in last week video, so I'll say now that it's probably "I Walk the Line", but "Ballad of a Teenage Queen" is up there as is his collaboration with U2, "The Wanderer", and one of his final singles, "The Man Comes Around". Cash recorded so many songs over the course of his long career, it can be hard to choose. Anyway, this was an excellent 2nd episode of your album series and of course goes along well with lasts weeks debut episode. Listening to you read off the album cover & back was wonderful and your tapping was amazing as always! This was just another fun & enjoyable video and a nice way to spend a half hour! Thank you as always, Prim, you did an awesome job! 😊 And thanks to your little preview, we know next week you'll be featuring 'Third Stage' by Boston.... oh yeah! Well to that I say don't "Cool the Engines" Prim because "We're Ready"! (pun also intended) 😎
There's an even better version of "Jackson" by Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood - check it out. I DJed a wedding recently and that was the bride and groom's selection for their first dance ! It was the best reception I'd ever played :)
Ohmygod you are the absolute cutest! I swear just seeing the way your eyes change when you talk about things you're passionate about melts my heart! I have the entire The Beatles vinyl discography and around 100 other albums, feel free to come and ASMR the life out of them! I actually have a few spares if you'd be interested, I can send you them. I'm not sure how broad your interests are. PM me if you like!
I miss your nails. You needed them on that album cover. Get a inner sleeve for that record. Its important. I'm glad to see younger people enjoy older music , today they don't make good tunes.
Johnny Cash is my all-time favorite artist because he was so real. I also sound like him and have his hair
Pompadours Rule!!!
Detroit cowboy 💀
Thank you for not being like every other ASMR channel.
I love Johnny Cash !!! 💚
I’ve loved this album since as long as I can remember so I’m very excited to watch this video!!!!

I'm stuck in Folsom Prison, and time keeps dragging on
But that train keeps 'a' rolling on down the San Antone.
When I was just a baby, my momma told me son

You're in luck Tom, the Boston album Prim is featuring on next week's episode is 'Third Stage', which is the album "Amanda" comes from. 👍
Tom Smith you only know one by Boston, come on you're kidding. Try going on UA-cam and listen to their first album, you've heard a few.
I had a feeling it might be, I thought the cover looked familiar! Thanks for confirming it, Joey! It will be fun to hear Prim mention it. :)

Where can I watch Cash on Saturday Night Live?....It's not on UA-cam....If could help me out with this it would be greatly appreciated...

You´re a Wonderfull Girl !
Not only do you like the late, great JC , but you are into albums. You girl, were obviously born in the wrong era. Great video. :)
I miss your nails. You needed them on that album cover. Get a inner sleeve for that record. Its important. I'm glad to see younger people enjoy older music , today they don't make good tunes.
Doesn't have to be the factory sleeve just a sleeve to protect it. Keeps it from sliding out also.
He made me hurt
He has let me down.

Hi beautiful 💋💥
